Drakken scowled as he looked down at his bank card. "And I laughed at Bronzefinger's insistence on carrying an emergency supply of gold." With a snarl, he put the card away. "Though making boxer shorts out of it is still nuts in my mind."
"Ah, fate is cruel that the old man I saved is a pauper to boot." Naga commented melodramatically.
With a scowl, Drakken turned toward the tall sorceress. "I'll have you know that with a halfway decent lab I could raise enough capital to buy this village in a week!"
"Ah, so you're holding fast to your pledge to properly reward me for saving you." She responded with a smile.
"I said I'd pay for a meal!" Drakken groused in an annoyed tone. "One meal. I just wasn't planning on being stranded so far from civilization."
"Hmph!" Naga responded simply. "If I can tolerate this squalor, I fail to see how you would have justification to complain, OH-hohohoho!"
Fillia looked down, scanning the whole city layout from the sky. 'There!' She though, dropping into a steep dive toward the empty looking park, then sifting her form and flapping her wings to halt her decent at the last minute. Her body began to glow with a golden light as her feet touched the ground, a wind springing up as her body suddenly became insubstantial and shrank, collapsing into a human form with the robes of a priestess forming around it.
Fillia lowered her hands from the gem on her outfit, pausing to give her blouse a quick tug. "Like it's supposed to be," She blushed slightly, recalling a very embarrassing mix up a year ago.
Shaking the memory aside, she turned toward the entrance to the park and quickly walked out. "Now I just need to find the Monkey Master. And maybe see if this town has some cookies that would go with that tea I picked up in the last town."
Ron pulled open the large brick oven. After taking a deep smell of the flavorful aroma, he looked inside, and with a nod started pulling out several sheet pans filled with small cookies.
"Looking good, eh Rufus? I think we've figured out how to overcome the limited ingredients."
On his shoulder Rufus sniffed the air and nodded, flashing a quick thumbs up.
"Wo Wo Wo! Now the Walrus will ..."
"SHUT UP!" Lina screamed as she turned and stormed over to the costumed figure.
"Um," the Walrus responded in a slightly confused voice, then shaking his head and raising one finger. "Er, no! the Walrus will not shut up, except when I'm Mass Destructioning!"
"Look you big jerk, I'm Hungry, I'm tired, I'm stuck in someplace I've never heard of before and I'm HUNGRY! Go take your stupidity someplace else!"
The Walrus stepped back nervously, then straightened his posture somewhat. "Um, no The Walrus will not stand down, the walrus will commit mass destruction like my uncle said! I've got the proportionate strength speed and agility of a walrus, so Mass Destruction is easy!"
Lina cupped her hands, the words of a spell dancing in her mind, then she blinked. "Wait, did you just say you've got the proportionate strength speed and agility of a Walrus?"
"Yeah!"
"Of a Walrus?" Lina choked a few quick chortles. "A Walrus!" She snorted. "A Walrus!!! AhHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! Proportionate Hahahah, St- Stren HAha ..."
"Stop Laughing!" The Walrus screamed, swinging his fist into the temporarily helpless sorceress.
"Hrr! No one laughs at The Walrus! Well, except for Hego, and Mego, and all those red Go's, and the police, and those guy's in the suits, and ..."
Lina shook her head as she pulled herself to her feet. "That's it! DRAGON SLAVE!" The full incantation rushing past in her mind Lina thrust her hands forward toward The Walrus ... And nothing happened. "Wha?"
