An old medieval village, encased in a dome formed of honeycombed metal framed glass. Roughly ten miles across (including the outlying farms) and currently leaving Earth orbit.
"Okayyyyyy," said one of the Generals of NORAD. "How the blazes do we write THIS up?"
"Number 36, Type D," said one of the blacksuited figures.
"Get a lot of these do you?" asked the General.
"Specifically, no," said the blacksuit. "A 'Number 36' is an unknown object behaving in a manner inconsistent with our own technology. A 'Type D' indicates a shape or appearance which is mostly harmless."
"'Mostly harmless'?" asked the General.
"No obvious guns, drop-pods, ray emitters, zombie hordes, or other potential menaces," said the blacksuit.
"You sound as if you're quoting from some manual somewhere," said the General.
"I am not at liberty to confirm or deny the existence of such a thing or the protocols concerning it," admitted the blacksuit.
"Uh huh," said the General, knowing how such things went. Didn't mean he liked it. "So my report would indicate a 'Number 36, Type D'? What would happen if it DID suddenly extrude a large weapon?"
"It would be upgraded to a 'Type C' I believe," said the blacksuit.
"Uh huh," said the General. "You're not going to whip out some flashy-eye thingie and erase memories now are you?"
"I am not at liberty to confirm or deny the existence of such a thing or the protocols concerning it," admitted the blacksuit.
"At least until I got the paperwork done, eh?" asked the General.
The smirk on the blacksuit's face indicated the point.
Nabiki sat back, watching things going around, and considered potential profits.
There were elves. Male and female elves. There were mithra (catgirls) and viera (rabbit girls) and gynoids (robot girls) and miniature giant robots (that looked like a six foot tall Gundam unit over there) and gnomes (little guys with big noses) and dwarves (hairy short guys wearing nearly twice their own weight in metal) and other things running around. Also Japanese sentai/magic girls.
This was all very strange, but if she couldn't find a way to turn a profit out of this - she wasn't Nabiki Tendo.
