In a lot of these universes, an echo of someone from another plane could be found. Souls not being bound by time or space or such mundane matters, some might argue. Others might argue that the gods played favorites.
So it was that the Companye Of The Silver Rose strongly (almost identically) resembled the familiar Sailor Senshi. Based out of Silvermoon, they were a relatively new adventuring group and one that had the need of all the help they could get.
"Is it hot in here?" A short-haired mage asked as she adjusted the collar of her robes and looked over their new hunk fellow adventurer. Well, she needed a bodyguard. And what a body to guard her! (That she had spent most of her life locked in a tower studying magic and had only recently been allowed to meet boys instead of just looking at anatomy pictures and reading accounts contributed a lot to the aura of teenaged lust currently surrounding her.
The elven "locksmith" with a bow in her hair assessed the boy's family jewels and wondered if the tales about human lovers were true.
The half-elven ranger/cleric fingered a spirit ward and wondered if the boy would actually turn out to be any good as a fighter. Monks had a reputation as chaste and way too serious, so she dismissed him as a potential lover quickly.
The tall human with the ponytail felt this strange desire to call him "sempai" - whatever that meant.
"So, uhm, what we gotta do?" Ranma asked, not sure why that one girl was looking like she was going to melt into a furiously blushing puddle.
The drow priestess smiled as she saw the way several of these adventurers looked over the boy, but answered:
