Cheetah 1/2: This is why you shouldn't have contracts lying around [Episode 21156]

by Jamil Nate

Genma Saotome didn't wait for the ten years training trip to drag Ranma with him on the road and sell him off. The engagement with Kaori Daikokuji when he was just a baby proved that. That's how Michiru Kaioh crossed paths with him.

But amusingly enough, Ranma got engaged on his own this time. He had wandered off while his father was scavenging for food (i.e. stealing). A couple on a stroll, concerned that such a young child was alone in the streets, had brought him to their house and left him with their daughter while they called the Police.

The two children had immediately taken a liking to each other. Innocent finger-painting turned out to be more than that when the parents saw that they used an engagement contract Ranma had on him (pilfered in Genma's gear, selling Ranma was such a reflex that Genma had written forms just in case). Thinking it was so cute, Michiru's mother completed it with her daughter's name, validating it with her signature (Genma's was already on it).

When Michiru and Ranma had asked what was an engagement, the Kaiohs tried to explain marriage to them. Most of the explanations went over Ranma's head, the only thing he understood was that he could stay with his new friend forever and ever. Michiru's eyes had gotten all sparkly and she dragged Ranma to her room to play daddy and mommy.

It didn't last however. The police managed to get a hold of Genma and he came to take his son back. Michiru saw him leave with Genma without a second glance and her tiny heart shattered. She couldn't know that the fat martial artist had given his son a severe tongue-lashing and that Ranma didn't want her to see him cry. He thought he could come back later but Genma took him out of town immediately, never to return.

After what she saw as a betrayal of the engagement, Michiru Kaioh, three years of age, decided that boys were all evil and vowed to never have anything to do with them again.

She had completely forgotten this incident until an angry-looking Haruka Tenoh waved the contract in front of her face "Michiru, what... is... this !?" Now that she was sixteen, she could read the text and see that the signatures from both Genma Saotome and her mother made it valid and legal.

"Oh, dear..." A few explanations later, the two lesbian lovers decided to go find this Ranma Saotome and make him annul this contract. Michiru's mother, who disapproved her daughter's sexual orientation, refused to do it (hoping Ranma had grown up into a nice enough boy to convince her to renounce her current ways. She wanted grandchildren, damn it !).

The drive to Nerima was tense and only interrupted once by a blonde blur bypassing them and Haruka vowing to outrace that damn cheetah-man one day.

Meanwhile, Ranma was seeking the other Stars of Destiny and using the memories of what he saw when he had the Great Will, headed for :
