Ranma and Michiru looked at the small battle area in town and then walked towards one of the entrance gates. Michiru bowed her head and while keeping her head down, headed to one of the security guards. She then subserviently said, "My master Ranma Saotome desires to know the location of the myrmidon entrance." Michiru didn't like acting so subservient, but it definitely helped when dealing with the security around these second-rate league stadiums.
Surprisingly, the guard didn't make a lewd remark and he simply pointed to the myrmidon entrance. Then the guard said, "As a tip for your master, go with a pole weapon. They've brought in some tigers today for the matches. It gets boring having to clean up the mess the tigers make when the newbies try and fight with a gladius and buckler."
Michiru bowed her head even lower as a thank-you for the hint. She quickly hurried back to Ranma and passed the guard's message on. Ranma gave a small smirk and said, "Tigers eh? Sounds like today's match is going to be fun." The two of them promptly headed off towards the indicated direction.
The inside of the blood room, as the contest preparatory room was usually referred to, it was muggy and hot as hell. For some reason, stadium owners got a kick out of placing the heaters directly below the blood room and forgetting to install air conditioning. Ranma and Michiru headed over to the lockers and proceeded to strip. Like most league stadiums, only regulation equipment provided by the stadium was allowed to be worn in the area.
Once Ranma and Michiru's clothes were stored, Ranma sat down and said, "Get me a Kevlar arm armor and two throwing axes. That should make things interesting enough for the crowd. Pops should be able to get some good odds on me fighting with that setup as well."
Michiru nodded her head and headed off to collect the equipment. Meanwhile, Ranma was trying to focus on his upcoming match instead of Michiru's rear.
