"Guy's got another slave?" the driver grunted, nearly surprised enough to glance at his partner.
"Looks like it. Kind of funny though."
"How's that?"
"Simple. I saw the girls that this kid is getting, and they were certainly good looking enough," the loader commented, giving a slight shrug of his shoulders.
"Well.... That one girl he's got with him right now is pretty...."
"And he'll get another slave on top of her and these two. Lucky for him."
"Maybe," the driver allowed. "Maybe not."
"Huh?"
"Think about it. I know lots of people think that it'd be great to have a bunch of slaves, but we know how much trouble a group of them can be."
"You're right," the loader sighed. "And even if they fully accept being owned, slaves can still cause plenty of trouble."
"Kid might get lucky though. They might not make too many waves."
"Still, I have to admit, I'd love to see how he'll react once he finds out about this."
Idly wondering about who exactly it was that got to plan streets like the one that he was driving on, the driver raised his brows at his companion. "How did he get another one anyway?"
"Not sure, but who knows. Fortunately, he's not his old man."
"Problem with the guy?"
"Notorious 'dine and dash' type. Minor scams and theft. Petty stuff really, but no one thinks that it'd be all that smart to let him own slaves."
"And it's different with the kid."
"Less of a troublemaker in the criminal sense, and more... innocent," the loader trailed off.
"Eh?"
"Let's just say that he's not known as a plotter or an abuser."
"That's good, right?"
"Good enough for him to be a better choice than his old man."
"I guess that you're right," the driver murmured as he directed the truck through a heavy turn, while:
