"I'm gonna cure my curse, of course!" Ranma exclaimed. The only reason he hadn't cured it already was he hadn't known if it would work until he managed to transform Nabiki (and then Happosai showed up).
Ranma closed his eyes to concentrate (he didn't want to mess this up) and his tattoo glowed for a moment. Akane and Kasumi watched him intently, looking for any change. (Since only Kasumi could see the tattoo, only she saw it glow.) Nabiki would have watched intently too, but wasn't looking in quite the right direction, and was still stuck as a gold statue.
Ranma opened his eyes. "I think that did it."
Akane said, "Let's test it and see." She went to get a bucket of water to splash him with.
