[Episode 213907]“Oh my, and I just patched that ceiling,” Kasumi said before walking off to get more supplies.
Akane looked down at the scene before her with a certain amount of… she didn’t know what to call it. Apprehension of her fears being true? Satisfaction of seeing Ranma caught red handed by everyone? Disgust that he would do THAT with a foreigner?
After everything she had done for him, after having her reputation ruined for being engaged to a sex changing freak, after she nearly MARRIED him to convince her dad to give Ranma his cure, THIS was how he repaid her? Words didn’t exist to that express exactly what she was feeling at the moment, but Akane managed to settle on some that carried her displeasure.
“I HATE YOU, YOU… PERVERTED FREAK!”
As Ranma watched the girl run up the stairs and out of his sight, to her room by the sound of it, he felt… nothing. No guilt came over having sex with Jane, no remorse bubbled up from the pit of his stomach for hurting Akane‘s feelings. If anything, he was just glad Akane had run off to her room to go cry instead of coming down to bother him more. Even being called a freak by Akane didn’t bring up anything.
She… just didn’t to him matter anymore. It was a strange realization, but true. The only thing he felt was relief she wasn’t going to draw this out even more.
“Son.”
But of course that didn’t mean other people would try to be an annoyance.
Soun still sat on his side of the table, which had become the foot of Ranma’s bed. That crazy girl’s yelling made him want to run and cower under the nearest bush like Genma was now doing, but the sight before him was too much. Although he agreed with Akane over the indecency of Ranma sleeping in the same room as two other girls, Soun had known there was no possible way that he would have been having sex with their of them. Now that the proof he was wrong was laying in front of his face, Soun could see that Akane had been right all along.
The reality was that Ranma was a good for nothing, perverted, selfish, inconsiderate, lazy… and so forth. The whole list actually took Akane barely under half an hour to dictate to him one day when she was griping about how Ranma had ran off to avoid eating her cooking. In sort, the whole thing could be summed up as describing Ranma as a worthless, cheating, loser.
“How dare you do this to my little girl!” Soun shouted as he stood up to glare down at the… little pervert! Since Akane’s descriptions were apparently right on, he decided to use her most widely used one. It also more than fit the situation.
From his place on the mattress, Ranma moaned at Soun’s form standing over him to glare. He was sure the man would break out that demon head illusion any moment now to try and scare him. Jane tensed up in his arms, and Ranma wondered if he’d be having to pull her off the old man to keep her from killing him.
For a moment, Ranma wondered if he should even bother to.
But, such thoughts were quickly rendered moot.
“Be quiet,” Sue’s voice called out before a blast of lighting shot from somewhere beside Soun and knocked him out of the house, as well as Ranma’s line of sight. She walked up to the foot of Ranma’s bed and looked down at the couple, taking a second to take in their state. “So you two really… did it, huh?”
Ranma could only blush at her observation, but Jane was much more talkative. She giggled and snuggled closer to her husband before looking back to at Sue. “Yeah.”
The somewhat blissful reply Jane gave her made Sue blink. “It felt… good?”
“Yeah,” Jane replied again before kissing the side of Ranma’s neck. She looked back up at Sue, and seeing that she wanted a better detailed account, or maybe an explanation, decided to give it to her. “I was on top. It felt pretty good too. I think it’s because his penis is so small.”
“W-WHAT?” Ranma shouted as he jerked his head up. “My… my… it’s not small!”
Both of the girls looked at each other, then down to Ranma’s crotch, and finally to their husband’s face. “Yes it is,” they both said at the same time.
Ranma flinched at how they could discuss this, and crush his ego at the same time, so callously. “That’s just cause it’s all limp! It’s gets bigger,” Ranma told them, grumbling the last part. Damn dragon women and their ignorance of human anatomy!
Jane rolled her eyes. “We know what an erection is husband.”
“And even then it’s still pretty small compared to Herb’s.” Just the name brought up bad memories for Sue. Being the girl with the bigger breasts, she had been the favorite sleeping partner.
“DON’T YOU HAVE SOMEONE TO GO MAIM OR SOMETHING?” Ranma shouted as he pointed to where Soun have been knocked over to.
The reason for Ranma’s defensiveness lost on her, Sue shrugged and headed outside. The old man who still had his hair was right where her spell had left him on the grass. The electricity still coursing through the man’s body had left him completely paralyzed, but it would soon fade and feeling would return to his body.
Sue shut the screen behind her, and then encased the backyard in an invisible, soundproof dome so no one inside the house could hear what was going on before casing a minor illusion to keep one of those idiot daughters from seeing everything and coming out to save their father. With some time until Soun paralysis wore off, Sue walked over and sat down beside him.
“You know,” she began, “before I met Ranma, my life sucked. I traveled the world with Jane and this other guy. At first me and Jane were just doing it because he promised to give us power. As time passed, I found out that I wanted more than that. I fell in love with him. Jane thought I was just stupid, but… in time he actually returned my feelings, and gave me exactly what I wanted.
“Although, it turned out he didn’t feel for me as much as I felt for him. We hit a run of bad luck, and that guy ended up choosing himself over us. After that, well… I guess you could say I just punished myself over him leaving us… me. I thought I had done something wrong, or just wasn’t good enough for him, and then I started thinking about the whole situation that put us in that mess and all the things I could have done different to avoid it; and so for all those reasons I decided to punish myself. I punished myself for him leaving me.”
Sue looked down to check and see that Soun still had a ways to go until the numbness wore off. She hadn’t meant to go that deep into with Fauntleroy but… it just kind of came out. The funny thing was: no animosity accompanied those memories, no feelings of anger or thoughts of revenge, just simple sadness. If she were to run into Fauntleroy tomorrow, Sue was sure she wouldn’t be able to take vengeance on him.
Oh, she’d nab his treasury key, show off her new form and powers that were SO far beyond him now, and maybe make some empty threats to see him sweat a little, but no physical harm would come to him from her. If Jane tried something, well then things would get complicated, but Sue had no intentions to stringing the guy up.
“Then I met Ranma,” Sue continued. “He found out about our situation… although not that it was mostly self-imposed on our part.” He never would learn that half of the story either of Sue saw to it. “Then he rescued us without even a hint at a reward. I think it was more of a knee-jerk reaction than any attempt at heroism now that I‘ve gotten to know him better.” Of course later they found out about his curse and offered to cure it. When they failed, the two of them then decided to make up for crushing his hopes with failure and repay his rescue with their marriage to the human. “So we married him right then and there.”
Sue still remembered the panicked look on his face, the protests, the attempts to run away. Jane and Sue had to alternate carrying him back to China to make sure he wouldn’t slip away. It was only after Jane had them make a quick trip back to the Musk to…repay Herb’s stint as their captor that Ranma got the odd notion in his head that they’d hurt him if he argued with them too much, and he became much more amendable to their presence.
“I got to say that having to live here in this dump has been a little nerve wracking.” Not to mention being in human form for so long. Holding a lesser form for more than a day always made Sue feel a little crammed in. “But… I don’t think I’ve had this much fun since… well, ever really. At first our marriage to him was just to pay off a debt, but as time passed I just fell in love with him. I even talked Jane into making sure he would stick around for longer than we’d first agreed on.” Sue chuckled at that memory. It had been a real surprise that Jane had agreed to it. Then there had been Ranma’s reaction to his new body and some of the… facts about dragon anatomy.
Sue’s shook her head and willed the images of her husband away. “Then just now, I find out that Jane just might be willing to accept and love him as I do.” A rather large step up from the ’pet’ she had been treating him as before. “I see them coupled together, sharing one of the most important moments in a relationship.” She looked down at the pathetic little bug beneath her. Sue’s face darkened, and her eyes light up with a menacing light as the air around her crackled with fury. “Then you decide to RUIN IT!”
This little worm was NOT going to ruin her marriage.
“W-What’re going to do?” Soun stuttered out.
Sue was glad that the wait time was almost up until Soun had some feeling back into his body, and even more that he had given her such a question. Although she would have explained it anyway, just to stoke his fears. “Don’t worry, I’m not like Jane,” Sue assured him. “She’s a real physical and mental sadist. She like to feel all the bones and stuff breaking in her hands, the despair and terror in the person’s eyes as they loose all hope for surviving or… well, ending the pain with death.
“I’m a bit different,” Sue explained calmly. “Now I do like the occasional violence and putting bugs in their place, but I don’t feel as consumed by it as Jane. That’s why, when everything is done and your tiny little mind grasps what is going on, you’re going to wish she was doing this instead of me.”
Sue laid her hand over Soun’s body and activated her personal mymior. As soon as she was ready, Sue reached into the man, past the physical, into the ethereal, and took hold of his soul… then grabbed hold to pull the thing into her spell book as she soul dived into it.
The world faded around her, and Sue found herself floating inside her mymior. Without her physical shell, anything looking at her would see what she truly was. The human’s consciousness was in her claws, larger than a normal human’s, but nothing she couldn’t still hold in her hand.
A moment later, the human came to, and screamed.
“Now in response to your question, I’m going to mess with your soul,” Sue explained, although she doubted he knew what was going on. “You see the human body, or any creature’s really, can only feel so much pain. The spirit on the other hand, well… it‘s so much more damaging when you crush someone‘s spirit rather than their body.” Sue reached forward with a finger, and sliced a hole into Soun’s mind. Thanks to the environment being her magical diary, and thus a little different from the normal ethereal realm, Sue was able to pull out the man’s memories. It took a moment for her to see how they were all sorted. But as soon as that was figured out she quickly rearranged them the way she needed, as well as made sure new ones would fit the pattern.
Good memories were in one ‘pile’ bad ones in the other. After that, Sue put all the bad ones back into the man’s mind. For a moment the dragon thought to leave him like that. But the whole thing was far too quick, and he would probably end up killing himself inside a week. Sue didn’t want that. She wanted him to slowly came to realize what was going on, panic at the reality of his situation, despair when he found out there was nothing to do about it.
Then she cast a minor spell that was used on humans and other lesser creatures when mages had a little slip up and didn’t want anyone around to remember it. Sue placed the ‘Five Minute Amnesia’ spell into the center of the good pile after setting it to continuously cast every two seconds the man was awake. The spell would use his own aura for fuel and go until there was nothing left for it to eat.
She would slowly take away his happiness, just like he had tried to do to hers.
There would be no recovery form something like this. Human medicine wouldn’t even be able to detect what was wrong, and while a powerful mage could discover the cause, trying to do something about it without a mymior would kill the man. Even if it was stopped, the damage that was already done couldn’t be repaired.
“And that takes care of you,” she told the unconscious man as she stood up. A part of Sue wished she could be around for the whole show, but the process would take quite a while.
When she got back, Ranma and Jane were already clean and dressed, the lack of water in their hair and spell traces in the ether told her they just used a quick cleansing spell to clean themselves. “What’s going on?”
“Were leaving,” Ranma explained before looking up at the stairs. He tried to think of anything he’d need to take with him, but came up with nada. Sue and Jane were violently opposed to camping out, clothes were no longer needed, and even food didn’t seem to as much of a requirement anymore.
Sue blinked. “Right now? Why?”
The snort she got from Jane told Sue this was probably another of their ‘philosophical’ differences. The other wife walked up to their husband and wrapped her arms around him. “Oh please. Everyone here saw me and Ranma just as we got done with our… fun. Tomorrow morning those other idiots will know, and I can expect to be attacked by at least noon. At which point I’ll quickly slaughter them like pigs and bathe in their blood.”
Ranma only sighed at the way Jane made that sound enjoyable. The sad thing about the thing was, at least two of the girls really would be trying to kill her. After just a few days of this, defending the attackers was becoming asinine. It wasn’t like they were going to give up if Ranma interfered on their behalf either. If anything, the action of stopping Jane from turning Shampoo, Kodachi, or Ukyo into paste would only encourage their stupid ideas. Then they would take more drastic measures, and it would be the wedding all over again.
“Can we just go now?” he asked them. If they beat sunset in America, he could get a good amount of sleep and wake up on US time.
Jane kissed her husband on the cheek and led him by the hand out the back door. She and Ranma looked down at the body of the crybaby, but since there weren’t any obvious damages he didn’t raise a fuss. Jane knew better, Sue had been very mad when she went into the back yard, and she had a tendency to very, very nasty when pissed off.
With the rest of her family either horrendously slow, or too chicken to fly faster than sound under her own power, Jane realized she’d be doing the taxi driver job for this trip. Thanks to Sue’s spell over the backyard, there was no gawkers to bother her when Jane changed back into her natural form.
As she resumed the shape of a dragon, Jane popped a crick out of her neck, kicked the old man’s unconscious body out of her way, and warmed up her wings for flight. Without even waiting, she snatched up her family and held on to them tight. A moment later, Jane released some of the energy in her wings and blasted off into the sky.
But, right before hitting full throttle, Jane took one last look back through the clouds and watched the Tendo house collapse in on itself as a wall was knocked over by the force of her takeoff. She smirked at the sight of her ‘last lick’ and then headed towards America faster than any normal human aircraft could hope to fly.
