"Captain, we've got a reading on the e-sensor." The supervising officer of the HRL Geosynchronous Satellite Orbital Station control room felt like groaning a bit as alarm sirens were ringing in the background. The last time his crew picked up e-sensor readings, he had acted too late on a situation that could have cost the lives of many HRL soldiers had the Gundams not intervened. "There are objects entering the atmosphere."
"What? I haven't heard a report on that! Put it up on the main monitor at maximum magnification!"
"Yes, sir!" Some fast typing later and the video feed was transferred to reveal a pair of objects that were generating large amounts of light yellow particles that seemed to be acting as a protective barrier against the heat generated from atmospheric descent into the Earth.
Gears clicked in the head of the supervisor. "Are those...?"
"Gundams." He turned around to see a Russian man in his early forties dressed in the same uniform as him. The two distinct features on his face were the small moustache and the mark that covered part of the left side, including the eye. Immediately, the supervisor went into a salute to greet the Wild Bear of Russia, Sergei Smirnov.
"Lieutenant Colonel!"
Sergei didn't respond as his eyes were glued to the monitor. "So those units can perform atmospheric re-entry by themselves? Where are they headed?"
"Please wait a moment, sir." The operator began making extrapolations based on the current route of descent that the Gundams had chosen. "According to their current course, we estimate that they will at... Southern India, Ceylon Island."
The supervisor immediately recognized the destination. "That's our territory! How many soldiers do we have stationed there?"
'Do they seriously intend to intervene with force?' Sergei found it hard to imagine how Celestial Being could stop a conflict that had been going on and off for over two centuries.
"We have the 7th and 8th Battalion Forces stationed there!"
Even with the number of mobile suits in the area, the supervisor realized that they will need more forces if they are to have any chance against the Gundams. "Get the 5th Battalion Force stationed at the CS34 area to deploy to Ceylon and support the 7th and 8th Battalion!"
"I've been trying to contact them but I'm running into interference! I've tried all of our standard channels!"
'Intelligence has reported that during the AEU Enact demonstration, numerous electrical devices including radar and communications were all disrupted. They believe it's most likely because of the strange particle that the Gundam is producing...' Sergei would need to investigate this matter further and do that, he would have to go down to Earth himself as quickly as possible.
"So they're coming to our territory, Deng?"
"That's correct, your Imperial Majesty. As we speak, we are making preparations for an attempt to obtain a..." The Chairman of the HRL, Deng Po, paused as the 15 year old Tianzi, dressed in expensive clothing fit for royalty, sat on the edge of the desk casually and fiddled around with a playing card in his right hand. "... Gundam."
"I see. Can you show me that Gundam image that was transmitted by the Orbital Control Station?"
"... of course." As he tapped in a command on his personal computer, the Chairman wondered where were the Emperor's retainers, Zuisen and Keiun, had been left behind by the youthful Son of Heaven. After a few seconds, the image of Gundam Virtue showed up.
The young boy's eyes lit up. "That looks amazing! I really hope we can get a Gundam! Then we can remake it and build some sorta system where I can operate the mobile suit simply by moving my body! I'll go out there and beat up terrorists with my own martial arts and my Gundam! I'll even develop my own secret techniques too-"
"SAI SAICI!!!"
The Tianzi gulped upon hearing the rather upset voice of his wife-to-be, who would probably barge in here any second now. "Uh... if she asks, you didn't see me!" He quickly hopped off the desk, dropping his playing card in the process, and made a mad dash for the exit.
Deng merely sighed as he got up from his desk to pick up the fallen card, which turned out to be the Ace of Clubs. 'And they say that House Representatives have a hard time dealing with the Britannian Royal Family...' At this rate, he's probably going to be forced into early retirement.
