Ranma sighed as he looked out the airplane window as it flew across the Pacific. She sighed a looked then looked at herself. Two large furry orbs met her gaze. She had to find the Tendos even if she couldn’t marry any girl anymore. She finally understood why her Father had been so desperate for him to get married or be a ‘man among men’. It was because he was trying to spare Ranma from a family curse. During the Warring States Ear, three samurai families helped a rag tag group destroy once and for all a powerful demon name Naraku. For their part in his destruction he cursed those families.
The Tendos to never have a mother and that any daughters fall from grace while the male head of the household become an emotional wreck.
The Kunos to become more and more delusional until the rest of the world killed them off.
But the Saotomes, he did the worst to. He cursed the male heirs to transform into Kitsune VIXENS before they reached their third decade, unless they got married before then. Pops had been married three times before he married Nadoka.
Ranma found the way to free all three families from their curses was to become one family.
He had planned to speak to the Kunos about that when disaster struck; a delivery truck with a cargo on its way to America was broad sided. Inside were casks from Jensenkyo (From the springs of Drowned girl, Newt and the spring of permanence) which shattered and splash the Tendo Girls transforming them into mutant newts. After that things went quickly down hill and by the time Ranma and his Father returned from a training trip to find the cure for the Family Curse, Soun and the girls had fled to America.
Ranma went to the Kunos to beat Tatewaki with in an inch of his life but the Saotome family curse choose that moment to kick in and during the fight Ranma painfully transformed into a kitsune vixen. Ranma’s luck must’ve gotten better because except for pointed ears and a larger bust, her new body was exactly identical to her Jensenkyo cursed form.
”P-p-pig tailed Girl?” Kuno stuttered. Ranma glared at her and said, “Yeah. I was trying convincing you I was a victim of a curse and it takes the curse going to full strength for you to finally get it.” It wasn’t the whole truth but she figured it was better than nothing. Believe it or not our families and the Tendo are cursed. And you drove them out of Japan because your curse kept you from seeing the truth.” Kuno dropped his boken and fell to his knees. “What must I do remove the foul curses from all our families?” The kendoist asked.
Ranma swallowed her pride (a big thing to do) and replied, “All three families must become united by marriage for the curses to be broken. Come to think about it. You must’ve been trying to do that with out even knowing when you began pursuing Akane and later me.”
“Ranma Saotome will you be my bride so that we may weaken the curses upon our households and eventually break them.”
Ranma shook her head as she found she was sharper after marrying Kuno. She got her Mom to adopt Ukyo and restoring both families honor.
Surprisingly when Ranma explained to Shampoo and Cologne about what she discovered Cologne offered her membership in the tribe, which was accepted.
