As legendary weapons of destruction went, Ifurita was right up there at the top.
Which was why Setsuna could only stare at the picture of a demurely blushing young woman
hanging on to her summoner's arm.
The inset photo beside it showed her in a more combat
oriented frame and the contrast was literally mind-boggling.
Numbly she scanned down to the title of the article and started to read. "The 1,000 Pactio Master, a Girl for Every Occasion!"
It was even worse then she'd feared. Her brain felt like pudding as the words just poured in through her screaming eyes.
Among the highlights:
Genma Saotome was now a legendary hero in this world who'd gone missing 10 years ago.
Ranma's mother was missing as well and Setsuna had the horrible sinking feeling that
it probably wasn't Nodoka Saotome in this timeline. Apparently the boy's skill at
summoning and contracting had manifested itself at a young age and there was great interest
in seeing how well he would do upon finally reaching the age where he could participate
in this year's Great Game. Oh yes, and Setsuna's analogue in the timeline had a nice
picture as part of his line up-wait, WHAT?!!
The Guardian of Time stared. Was that really her on that page smiling happily? For just a moment, she was almost envious of that lighter carefree reflection.
Then she saw the others in the picture and really lost it.
"oh no."
She supposed in a distant sort of way that it was a small mercy Saturn apparently
wasn't among them.
After all, with Ifurita there, the Senshi of Destruction would
have simply been redundant.
But the Princess... how could she let the princess...
*THUMP*
Setsuna fainted.
