A Tale of Two Souls - Gina Diggers: Yet Another Chapter [Episode 215406]

“Ranma? You’re a girl?” A fellow student commented.

A fact that everyone could see from the way Ranma’s clothes stuck to her body.

Ryoji then voiced the question nearly everyone in the class was asking themselves. “How…?”

“What was in this bucket? I mean… to turn a hunk into a babe…” Another student, Mako Tsuri, gazed in confused wonder at the bucket Kuno had dropped.

Ranma sighed.

“Yeah. It’s me.” She then looked at the teacher who appeared equally astounded as his students. “I can explain if Sensei Matsura is ok with me taking up more of the class’s time?”

The teacher dumbly nodded in response.

Ten minutes later, and the application of several glasses of cold and hot water provided from the sinks in the back of the class normally used for scientific course studies, Ranma had explained his curse to the rest of the class. Normally at this point he was expecting his fellow students to treat him with either fear or disdain but he found himself pleasantly surprised when they seemed to accept it and instead began to question him, politely, what it was like to experience things from the point of view of the opposite sex.

And though the conversation stayed within the boundaries of polite conversation, as it was strictly monitored by the presence of the teacher, Ranma could tell that the more intrusive and interesting questions would be posed later when they managed to catch him alone. Oddly enough it was the glimmers he caught in the eyes of his female classmates indicating questions asked that worried him the most.

That is until a male classmate, Juoi, spoke. “So, does this mean you did defeat underclassman Kuno so you could date him?”

Meanwhile In Nabiki’s Class, Which The Teacher Had Given To The Students As A Free Day.

Nabiki’s seat was in the center of the class, right among the most gossipy members of her class. She’d chosen that seat for exactly that reason, so that she could keep an ear on all the happenings within the school. Over the years she had learned who to believe, what to discard, and when to do so for though she listened to the gossip she herself dealt in facts.

It was by listening in on the latest gossip that Nabiki learned, much to her astonishment, of Ranma’s transfer to a class ahead of hers.

“Not only is the new hunk in the honors class but I hear he’s already made friends with not only the class president but with the whole student council!”

“New hunk?” Nabiki asked trying to sound disinterested.

Inami, the girl who was speaking, nodded emphatically, “Ranma something. Oh he’s soooo dreamy…”

“Saotome.” Another girl supplied. “His last name is Saotome. I heard from this girl who was in the office that he just stormed right in there and demanded to be transferred to another class.”

A third girl chimed in. “I heard that he sweet talked Miss Tanaki into letting take a placement test and that she even fudged a few of his answers.”

The only boy within their group, one who shared Nabiki’s interest in facts, spoke up. “Miss Tanaki isn’t in today. Mr. Ikagi is. Though if I had to guess this Ranma likely did have to put up some kind of a fuss as we all know how Mr. Ikagi is about doing anything that takes him away from his morning coffee.”

“Or his afternoon coffee.” Nabiki said causing a slight chuckle to come from the others.

“But honors class? Isn’t he only sixteen?” The second girl said a moment later.

“A hunky sixteen!” The first girl giggled. “You have any pictures of him yet Nabiki.”

“Not yet.” ‘But I definitely will.’ Nabiki said and thought.

“Yes, you do seem familiar with him Nabiki. What can you tell us about him?” the male of the group said causing all to turn towards her.

“Well, you know how I don’t like to just give information away for nothing.” Nabiki smirked. “Shall we say for the usual fee?”

Each present put forward a thousand yen which Nabiki happily accepted. ‘Not even here a day and he has already made me as much yen as I would earn for the whole day in a few hours.’

Once the money was put away Nabiki went on to give them the highlited details of Ranma’s arrival, leaving out the parts of the curses. And since the cat was already out of the bag as they say, she gave them the gist of the family arrangement leaving out how neither he nor Akane had in fact accepted said arrangement. them what she knew of Ranma including his curse – something that if it had come from anyone else none of those present would have believed. She told them about the engagement between Ranma and her sister though she made it clear that he seemed reluctant to accept it and thus letting them know that Ranma’s hand was not taken should any of them want to pursue him.

Just as she was wrapping up the sound of Kuno’s scream as he plummeted past the classroom window had all of the students up and at the window.

Smirking slightly Nabiki turned from Kuno’s splayed form upon the concrete below and headed towards the classroom door.

“Don’t forget a pass.” The teacher said without looking up from behind the Nekomi Tech Racing paper he was reading.

Nabiki scooped said pass up as she walked purposefully out of the class room, her mind on just how much money she would get out of Kuno for her help. After that she planned to speak with Mr. Ikagi and see if she could get her hands on Ranma’s placement scores.

‘Saotome didn’t strike me as being all that smart. If I plan to make more money off him I need to know more about him and getting a peek at his transcripts will help.’
