"Yes, Endor," said Ku Loren. "There's an Imperial base that was abandoned. All you have to do is make nice with the cannibal teddy bears and you'll be fine."
Akane mouthed the phrase "cannibal teddy bears" - horrific images of plush toys coming alive with sharp rows of teeth. (incidently proof that she needed to stop watching late night horror movies.)
"Calculations complete, punching out," came Xiang's voice over the commlink as her ship turned into a streak of color and vanished.
One after the other of the ships did the same as Akane lined her sights up on the approaching sentai-themed fleet of Captain Kuross.
Akane blinked. This guy was even worse than her Kuno. He had a statue of himself standing proudly on the bow of his starship! Well, just a little past that was an engine intake. It might be closed in space, but Akane figured dumping a shot down it would sure put a crimp in his style.
Akane squeezed the trigger. The ion cannons fired a single quick and precisely aimed shot.
Unfortunately, Akane's aim problems were mainly caused by her grip and a tendency to flinch whenever firing a gun. The shot missed the target.
However, because this was Akane, and because this was a pervert, the usual "+4 vs Perverts" skill ranking decided to make itself known.
The shot bounced off the Pink Lightning's shields, banked off the heavy armor plating on the Green Cloud and obliterated that 3x life sized gold-plated statue of Major Kuross on the Blue Thunder's bow.
Ku Loren looked up from her preparations. "Nice shot, Captain. Entering hyperspace."
"I meant to do that," said Akane, not very convincingly.
