It's been widely known that, when he left Mishima Heavy Industries with his son, Dr. Natsume had a little incident involving his car and a small kitten.
Said kitten was griveously injured after being hit by the good doctor's car, and it was Ryuunosuke who convinced him to do something to save the small animal.
That is the standard origin of Nuku Nuku.
