Ranma was suddenly very much in regret of his actions, if for nothing else than to see an adult redhead with pure black bags under his eyes and a giant brown gourd attached to the man's back. Additionally, the kanji for love was etched above one of the man's eyes.
"Saotome," began the Principal. "It has come to my attention that you are a very disruptive influence in your class, even more so than your peers. I understand that you have a curse - two of them, if I'm not mistaken - but you'll just have to learn some self control. Now, if you were to simply have slept in class and snored or whatever, I would have allowed you to go on, as your classmates can easily ignore such a thing. It might not be as fun, but it wouldn't have been very distracting."
The man sighed and turned away from the window he was looking out of.
"As such, I must find a suitable punishment. Hmmm... Seems all the color has drained out of your face. I assume you must have heard of my reputation, especially the part where I beat the old Principal Kuno and sent him to the hospital. In some weird case of Neriman law, I became the principal in his stead. Hmmm... Seems that's the part you hadn't heard about. I see you may have heard the rumors going around that I have a demon or some such that I call 'Mother' trapped inside of me."
Ranma gulped.
"Those rumors are completely, absolutely, and utterly..."
Ranma began to relax. Perhaps it wouldn't be so bad? Maybe he got rid of the demon or never had it in the first place?
"... true."
Ranma barely resisted the urge to faint.
"Yes, I do have a demon trapped within me, and I do call it 'Mother'. I know its true name, but said name angers it. But I shall tell you that Mother is angry with you. Mother does not like it when my students are disobedient. As such, Mother wants your blood! Mother wants to paint the town red with it!!"
Ranma cringed in fear as a large amount of sand shot out of the gourd and encased him, restricting his movement. He also noticed that the sand particles sapped most of the ki out of his body, making him feel weak and helpless.
"... However, Mother will have to settle for detention. I will release your arms and move you to the desk in the corner there, where you will write five-thousand lines reading 'I will not disrupt class.' Understood?"
Ranma almost whimpered, but he managed to utter a weak "hai".
"Good. And thank you for dealing with Kuno Tatewaki this morning. You have my permission to continue to beat him senseless every morning, as my tactics aren't getting through to him. Now, begin your lines; I will notify your instructors of your absence, and you will be excused for the day."
Ranma was glad that Sabaku no Gaara, Principal of Furinkan High School, was not as insane as the manga he had read made him out to be. Why had he used the Great Will to make him the Principal anyway? Oh right. Something to do with insanity.
Though boring, Ranma managed to make his way through all five-thousand lines by lunchtime, at which time he was free to go, but he must return to his classes after lunch.

Gaara chuckled. This Saotome Ranma may be more insane than himself, but perhaps the pink-haired boy would be a breath of fresh air that Nerima so badly needed.
He noticed a messenger pigeon on the window sill, and he brought the bird over to his desk. He opened the message and read it. Then he used a small amount of sand to move a piece on the shogi board in one of the corners of the room to a position. Then he looked at the board and moved another piece from the other side. He then wrote a new message and attached it to the pigeon's leg.
"To Dr. Tofu. Fly quickly, little bird."
Gaara smirked. In two moves he'd have Dr. Tofu right where he wanted him.
