Nabiki sighed as the hot water from the shower fell on her. I hate being up this early, she grumbled mentally. Once again, she was forced awake early because of dreams of what could happen to her here. Usually, it involved her being killed by one of the scenes from the series.
The latest had been Orochimaru attacking her in the Forest of Death.
Grabbing the washcloth, she began to go about her morning ritual. Sure, the bathroom did have a small furo, but the nightmares … she’d rather have the hot water wash the troubles away, not a cold splash and a hot soak, at least at the moment. The shower was better for washing away the dreams.
She was also very glad Ranma had acquired the new hot water heater from wherever he did without tapping into their funds. It worked perfectly—better than the piece of junk the landlord had left for them to use and occasionally to fix on their own.
Of course, had she looked in the closet where it was at, she would immediately notice the Uchiha clan symbol on it. After all, a massacred clan didn’t need everything left in their house, let alone a perfectly functional appliance. But when she did, after she finished hissing at him for risking what could happen if they were found out—and thus had him remove anything off the appliance that could reveal it as having been Uchiha-owned, she would make a list and send him for some other things, like futons, perhaps a bed, and some undergarments that didn’t have the Uchiha symbol on them.
Garage sales were always the best bargains, especially when you paid nothing. And they could use a new washer/dryer.
Standing taller as the stress of the nightmare was washed away, she felt a smile form on her face. Overall, things weren’t too bad. Sure, Ranma’s idea of getting Naruto as an apprentice basically revolved around using one of his bigger moves from Nerima in a spar. Hiryü Shöten Ha and Möko Takabisha would just open up too many questions, like how an Academy Student came up with them. They’d have to work up to it, now that hopefully last year's Rookie of the Year would stop challenging Ranma.
“Really, after that exhibition, Neji should have just let it go,” she murmured, shutting off the water and grabbing a towel. “And I thought Ryouga could carry a grudge.”
Getting dressed, she gave herself an once-over in the mirror. It was still a far cry from the sex-appeal she had had at Furinkan High, but she was getting there. That and Ranma’s taijutsu tutoring was really helping her physique. “Damn, hope it doesn’t make them smaller,” she said, hoisting her small breasts slightly.
Shaking her head with a slight smile, she exited the bathroom, making her way down the hall towards the kitchen. It was her turn to cook after all.
Of course, that came to a halt as she saw Mihoshi’s bathrobe and bunny slippers … in front of Ranma’s door. Last night after practice, Nabiki had talked him into a massage after they had a bath. She went first because she needed to sleep.
Mihoshi went last.
Mihoshi also wasn’t in Nabiki’s bed that morning, which meant…
Opening the door slowly, Nabiki poked her head through, camera first.
The scene before her would need the whole roll, she knew that now.
Mihoshi had indeed gone into Ranma’s room last night after her programs—she liked to stay up late and watch whatever anime her strange box could find on Channel 1282—to Nabiki it looked like a cross between Star Trek Klingons and South Park—while still wearing her bath robe.
Saotome had gone to sleep, male, without a t-shirt due to the night being warm and the apartment’s air conditioner being busted … again.
Mihoshi had dropped her robe outside the door with her slippers and slipped in, forgetting that she hadn’t dressed after the bath for the massage—which made Nabiki wonder how Ranma was able to rub the aching muscles with her like that. And now the tanned girl was sleeping on top of Ranma, cuddling him like an overgrown teddy-bear.
And Ranma was wide awake, eyes wide, filled with fear, and looking towards Nabiki in hopes of salvation.

Now the eyes were narrowed in pure hatred.
“Ranma-baby, these are for our scrapbook,” Nabiki said with a smile, as she continued to snap pictures. Sure, they were useless as blackmail, but it was still fun.
Now, if she could only silence that Akane-like voice in her head demanding she break Mihoshi’s neck for daring to touch Ranma.
“I’m so sorry!” squeaked Mihoshi, as the trio sat down for a morning meal before they headed off to class for the day.
“Oh, I’m sure he didn’t mind,” said Nabiki sarcastically, once again cursing her runaway hormones.
“He was just so warm and cuddly,” offered Mihoshi, “and I just couldn’t help myself.”
“Don’t mention it,” muttered Ranma, “… ever.” His mind was already awash with what people in the village would think of him if they found out what had just happened, Nerima-conditioning making him think it was somehow his fault. I don’t need everyone here thinking I’m a pervert, especially if I got to get Naruto looking up to me.
And why the hell is Lee following me around and always taking notes?!
