And then…nothing. Try as he might he could not remember a thing afterwards; no pain, no dying, just a bright light and a feeling of peace and ease. For a moment he remembered a brown haired woman with flowing clothes of white with blue and gold trim and a smile that made him blush at the attention. But he could not make her facial features out or remember her name. The next thing Ranma clearly remembers is hitting the grassy ground. The ability to feel anything, in this case pain, brought his world back into sharp focus. “Get up boy there is no time to waste!” A voice to his right yelled. “You’ve got some techniques to master before bedtime.” As Ranma looked in that direction his eyes widened and a big smile plastered on his face.
“PAPA!” Ranma shouts as he stood up and grabbed onto the man with a bandana on his head and wrap around eyeglasses who was shocked by his son’s behavior. “Whats gotten into you boy?” the man asked suspiciously trying to get the boy off of him. Ranma could not have been more ecstatic his father, who his mom had said died two weeks ago, was back alive and kicking. Finally after a full ten minutes of the happy boy holding onto his father the older man managed to pry Ranma off him and roughly push him away. “None of that Ranma, you’re going to become a man on this trip so the first thing you must learn is that real men don’t show their emotions.” Genma lectured with a glare. Ranma was a little put off by his fathers’ actions but nodded. Genma smiled at the boy and then held up some small weights, “Now then onto training!”
