When the attack began, Naruto did as instructed and, with one last glance at his sensei of only a few months, made a break for it. Clones yelling insults at their attackers, the orange army scattered into the forest, doing everything in their power to muddy the trails as quickly as possible.
Naruto quickly lost himself among the clones, running with all his might to avoid the force of nearly twenty ninja that appeared out of the woods. Naruto's only advantage in this situation was his stamina, as it allowed him to run in a full sprint for a much longer time than the average nin. With Jiraya's shouting of Jutsu names spurring him on, Naruto vanished into the forest.
Four hours later, night was falling. Naruto was still jogging through the forest at a quick pace, but had slowed down somewhat from the all out sprint that had begun this little adventure. Pausing for a moment to catch his breath and dig out a ration bar, Naruto considered his options.
