She wasn't the only one to notice. Various others noted that Ranma was paying particular attention to Musubi.
Genma didn't notice. He was too busy trying to survive. Punches and kicks rained down on him, some of which he was successful in blocking.
When Genma managed to counterattack and get a good hit connecting to Musubi's forehead, there was a moment of pleasure at the accomplishment. Then Musubi's expression of delight clicked a connection in his head and he realized a basic truth of the busty fighting girl.
That here was someone with a great love of the martial arts specifically and fighting in general. He'd just proven himself credible as a fighter, and therefore someone she could go full out against.
Gendo looked over the various Rei clones being prepped, then to the timer which showed that they wouldn't be out of the vat for quite some time.
He thought about it for awhile. The Rei clones by themselves were insufficient for the task of reclaiming the units stolen by that boy.
"Hahahaha, the Lord Of Terror in his lair!"
Gendo groaned. "What are YOU doing here, Hiroto?"
"Lending a hand at the suggestion of SEELE, of course," said the mad scientist archetype. "I, Minaka Hiroto, chairman and founder of MBI have come to help!"
"I neither need nor desire your assistance," Gendo assured the overly dramatic rival.
"Oh, come now, don't let your pride get in the way of a good fight," said Hiroto. "My disciplinary squad will ensure the rules are kept!"
"What rules?" asked Gendo.
"The Sekirei plan, of course," said Hiroto. "Never fear, I am here to help!"
"That in itself is reason for concern," said Gendo.
Genma came up sputtering, the result of a large pail of water being thrown upon his unconscious body.
"Well, Pop?" asked Ranma. "Still wanna get rid of them?"
"Well, just get rid of her!" Genma said, pointing to a little girl. "She's too young to travel with us. She can stay with-"
The little girl's hair rose up around her and a glow flicked into place.
Eight trees formed out of the ground surrounding Genma. A heartbeat later and they'd grown together to become a single large tree that stretched heavenward.
"-some... Okay," said someone from within the wooden prison, "maybe she can stay too."
