"Mmmhmmm," said Kasumi, gently leading him to her room.
"We may need to post guards," said Akane.
"To keep Master from escaping?" asked Kagome.
"Well, that too," admitted Akane. "He's got to get over that hangup for his own good."
"True," admitted Nabiki. Turning her attention to something going on in the backyard, she made a guess. "Hmmm. Power armor?"
"Yes," said Teletha, flipping up her welding goggles briefly up to wink. "It'll be difficult to do too much, we don't have access to resources until I get a few patents on the market, but eventually I think I can build hardsuits like in that Bubblegum Crisis universe for those of us who aren't martial artists."
Cologne watched her new waitresses moving about, served the late evening crowd (currently having a special on the pork ramen) and kept her hands busy with routine tasks as her mind put things together.
Diana Prince had impressive strength and speed, and both qualities sufficient to impress the matriarch of an Amazon village that valued both. Might just have to look into getting her a husband.
Shinobu Maehara was stirring pots and learning the workings of the kitchen. She showed some talent there and would eventually make a good backup cook. She already knew the basics, it was learning the layout of the kitchen and the differences between household cooking and that of the commercial variety that was currently confusing her.
Kodachi Kuno had been sent home with orders to try and act normal and come back tomorrow after school.
Setsuna Meiou was manning the cash register. Good math skills. Attractive and polite. Cologne was considering having her stand outside the doorway and act as greeter and to hand out menus for the lunch crowd tomorrow.
Rei II, who gave her last name as Ayanami, was currently on greeter duty in a Chinese pantsuit. Every so often she'd show signs of clumsiness that might indicate something wrong with her. Cologne had pencilled into her schedule a medical exam for the albino.
Rei I, who gave her last name as Hino, was doing backup waitress duty. Though when a customer tried to pat her bottom as she passed, she gave a proper Amazon response to it. Mainly involving bringing her serving tray down upon the guy's head. Quick, efficient, and the customer was not permanently disabled.
As for Asuka Langley Soryuu, she was on dishwasher duty. Not only was it necessary it kept her from glaring at the customers. She hadn't been groped or anything, but Cologne noticed how irritable the German-speaker was and didn't want to chance anything just yet.
Misato Katsuragi was knowledgeable about beers (and wines - but mostly beers) and was able to advise customers regarding the various liquors that were available to the older crowd. No cooking skills, her waitressing wasn't that terribly good or graceful. Probably could be trained up though. She was currently on standby.
Mutsumi Orihime was sleeping. Mainly because she kept passing out and was even more of a priority for a medical checkup than that Ayanami girl.
Which brought her to the current main waitress of the night, Barda. Excellent strength, speed, and hand-eye coordination. She could handle the usual duties of a waitress quite well, though her math skills didn't seem quite up to Setsuna's. Cologne put her in the same category as Diana. Find her a husband and let her contribute to the village.
The slave aspects of the situation concerned her, but she had to admit she was over her head in trying to interpret some of the oddities there.
More people entered the cafe, causing Cologne to glance up.
