She just wished that Subaru was there with her right then, as she knew that the other girl would have been able to take the rough patch that would come through this. Her short haired friend was the sort of person who would struggle to make things right, and wasn't about to run from a fight if she didn't have to. But the best part would be to have Ranma's wife there so that her father could know that the pigtailed boy was already taken.
It was amusing to think that she'd been saved from an arranged marriage by Subaru's wish to visit Japan, but it had happened that way. Not that Akane was about to complain about that, given that the foreign born girl's long trip had accomplished much to benefit her, and not only in the preservation of her marital status. In going to see where her family and Japanese born 'idol' had come from, Subaru had managed to give her a friend who she could share a love of fighting with. Sure, Ranma loved martial arts, but that wasn't quite the same as having another girl who could go shopping with her one moment, and train with the next.
Unfortunately, she wasn't getting to dismiss this plan of her father's as of yet, and couldn't quite get to go make a call to her friend so far, so the youngest Tendo sister was a bit put out, while:
