Yu-gi-Oh, My: Dragons/ Evadragon: Finding fragments of the past [Episode 219108]

by HistorianoftheKais

Ranma stood in the fields outside of Tokyo-3 and sighed. He gazed out at the empty grasslands in sadness. "How could this happen?" Ranma muttered to himself in shock. "How could over 2 billion people die and I just slept through it? What is the point of a god if he doesn't help people? A martial artist's duty is to help others, so a god's duty must be to help everyone. I wonder what happened to everyone after I ascended?"

The god in human form closed his eyes and tried to sense his markers. Instinctively, Slyfer had 'tagged' everyone he knew as Ranma before ascending. These tags allowed Ranma in either dragonic or human form to sense exactly where everyone he tagged was and their status.

A frown appeared on Ranma's face as he failed to sense Pops, Akane, Kasumi, and the rest of the old gang from Nerima. The young god's fingers drew golden blood as he squeezed his hands into fists. Slowly, a rage grew in Ranma that had only appeared once before: when he faced off against Saffron. "DAMN IT ALL! IS THIS MY PUNISHMENT FOR SLEEPING ON THE JOB? TO WAKE UP ONLY TO FIND THAT EVERYONE I CARED ABOUT DIED?!"

Ranma nearly turned back into his Slyfer form as he howled in agony. The only thing that stopped him from going on a divine rampage was sensing a few remaining tags. Shock appeared on Ranma's face he realized what he was feeling. "Who could that be? Everyone from Nerima is dead so who could I have tagged? Wait a second, there were those Sailor Senshi who I helped out before Adam showed up. I must have tagged them when I transported them out of the battle zone." Seconds later, Ranma disappeared from the field in a flash of gold light.

Rei Hino was sitting her home next to a slightly neglected shrine sipping tea. The former sailor senshi sighed as her gaze spotted the repairs she needed to do on the shrine. Keeping the shrine up to par was a challenge since she had to do all the work herself. It wasn't the same shrine as her grandfather's; that shrine was currently underwater. Rei had inherited the shrine she was currently in from an old friend of her grandfather who had taken her in after Second Impact.

Second Impact, Rei didn't know what the hell that event truly was, but she knew that the public story was a load of bull. There was no way that a mere asteroid hitting Antarctica could strip her of her ability to become Sailor Mars. She could still feel the power she once welded, but something was blocking it.

Life after Second Impact had not been kind for Rei. That damned event killed so many people including her grandfather and all the Sailor Senshi except for Ami. Many people stopped coming to the shrines feeling like the kami had abandoned them which in turn could lead to her being alone for days. However, the worst thing for Rei was the fact that she could sense a great evil building. Here she was, aware of a threat to everyone and she couldn't do anything about it.

"If you can hear me Usagi, please help. We need a miracle like that divine dragon who saved our butts from Beryl. If anyone can convince the kami to help us out its you crybaby."

Rei's eyes opened in shock as she sensed the buildup of divine energy. Were the kami answering her prayers at last? Suddenly, there was a flash of gold light blinding the priestess. When Rei could see again she saw Ranma standing in her living room with a sheepish grin on his face. "Sorry about this, my name's Ranma Saotome. However, you probably know me by my other name of Slyfer."
