"Uhm," said Sasuke, looking between Naruto and the still-under-him Hinata. He'd never thought he'd be saying this to NARUTO, but it was really the only appropriate response. "Sorry."
"I can see it wasn't intended," said Naruto, freaking a few people out because he was being REASONABLE instead of leaping to all sorts of stupid conclusions. "So would you mind getting off her?"
"Uh yeah," said Sasuke, getting off as quickly as he could without hurting the girl underneath him more than he already had. "Huh? She's unconscious?"
Naruto sighed, reached down and scooped her up into his arms. "Look. Sasuke. We're gonna be working together as part of a three man team. We can discuss this later. Kiba?"
"Yeah," said the watching Kiba, a little less surprised than some of the others. After all, some of Naruto's pranks in the past HAD indicated that Naruto could plan things out. It was more likely he'd leap in first and think about it later, but he COULD plan things out.
"Take good care of her," said Naruto, looking down at the girl in his arms. "Her Byakugan is very strong, but she's gonna need some help with the rest."
"How dare she claim Sasuke's First Kiss?!" screeched some girl as a pack of the same gathered and readied to say or do something.
LOOM!
All Naruto did was turn and look at them, as he laid Hinata down across the desktop. It was just that his presence seemed to increase until it was a giant staring them down from an intimidating height.
Sasuke immediately noted the effectiveness of it and wondered if he could use his Sharingan to duplicate that. SOON. The group of girls had been ready to surge forward and now they were hanging back. It wasn't so much Killing Intent being radiated by Naruto though, more of a Willingness To Hurt. Without a word being spoken. Yeah, he DEFINITELY wanted that technique.
"So you're engaged," said Kiba, breaking the silence that had stretched on for a moment or two. "You and Hinata. Well. Congratulations, I guess."
"Yeah," said Naruto, grinning and putting one hand behind his head in embarassment. Of the combat-ready Naruto of a moment ago, there was no sign. "Thanks."
Sasuke noted that none of the girls were moving or doing anything to draw attention to themselves yet. He just so HAD to learn that technique!
Ino leaned a little closer to Sakura. "I think Naruto must have been hanging around Sasuke. Some of Sasuke's cool must have rubbed off."
Sakura nodded, not caring that she was agreeing with Ino this once. THAT explanation just made Sasuke even cooler, and just made Naruto a little parasite on Sasuke's side. Well, she'd be around to keep Naruto from impeding the glory that was Sasuke!
