Mischief Fragment - legacy: dark technique [Episode 220372]

The girl had skin the color of chocolate, long pointed ears, white hair, and was wearing a pair of blue coveralls that didn't quite fit her.

The girl spoke to him in some odd language, then knelt before him by folding her legs underneath her and then lowering her head until it touched the ground.

"I don't understand," stated Naruto.

The girl's head rose, she frowned, and she tried some other language. This was vowel-heavy and seemed to flow on. The first language had clear stops-and-starts that were clearly words, while this one seemed to naturally blur everything together with only an occasional pause for breath.

"I don't speak whatever that was," stated Naruto.

Sighing, the girl rose gracefully to her feet and her hands flickered through several signs.

There was a brief glow about her, before she stepped VERY close, looked him in the eyes once, and then kissed him.

A squeak from Hinata told him that Hinata had woken up just in time to observe this.

"W-w-what was that for?!" asked Naruto, leaping backward.

"Testing. Testing," said the girl, her green eyes flicking from Naruto to Hinata and back. "Can you understand me now?"

"What? You can speak our language now?" asked Naruto.

"Yes, Master," said the girl, holding up a Ninja Snax bar and unwrapping it.

"WHAT?! Where did you... you picked my pocket?" asked Naruto, checking and finding an empty pocket.

"Yes, Master," said the dark elf. "I simply want to demonstrate that I can be of great use to you and your Alpha here." Certainly humans didn't have eyes like that, so she must be his Alpha right?

"I don't... Master?" asked Naruto.

"Yes, Master," said the Dark Elf, lowering herself to regard Hinata. "You have an injury, Mistress. I know a simple Cure spell, if I may?"

"You don't have to kiss me for that, do you?" asked Hinata, looking unhappy at the concept.

"No, Mistress," said the Dark Elf, making a little note that whatever her breed - this Hinata was apparently a full hetero in orientation. Which was a pity. She was actually kind of cute.

"Why are you calling us that?" asked Naruto.

"How would you prefer that I address you, Master?" asked the Dark Elf. "Or are you rejecting me after I pledged loyalty to your service?"

"Ahhhh," floundered Naruto, not understanding what was going on and feeling extraordinarily out of his depth. "Don't you have a name? Mine's Naruto! This is Hinata."

"Ah, I see," said the Dark Elf, thinking she'd lucked out again. This otherworlder sounded as if his world was VERY open and progressive. She ought to be able to prove her worth quickly and become accepted in short order. Maybe there was a Megami somewhere looking out for her.

"Peorth? What are you staring into that well for?"

"Oh, just helping someone out, Keiichi. Tell Belldandy, I'll just be a few more minutes. Hmmm. In fact, you might ask her if she'd like to join me. This might be fun."

"I don't get it," said Naruto as the dark-skinned girl held lightly glowing hands over the knot on top of Hinata's head.

"It's quite simple," said the Dark Elf. "I'm a Dark Elf. YOUR Dark Elf unless you decide to reject me. I know a few spells though - so I can be of great use to you in your quest."

"Quest?" asked Naruto.

"Yes," said the Dark Elf, who then dropped her hands away. "There you are, Mistress."

"My head doesn't hurt?" asked Hinata, feeling the top of her head. Hinata smiled at the concerned look on the girl's face. "Please call me Hinata."

"As you wish, Hinata," said the Dark Elf. "You are Master's Alpha, are you not?"

"Ahhh, well, that is," fidgeted Hinata. "Actually, I think so."

"Eh?" asked Naruto.

"Too young, eh?" asked the Dark Elf, getting a slight nod in response. "Okay, I'll back you up."

"What?!" asked Hinata, looking shocked.

"What breed are you, anyway?" asked the Dark Elf.

"I don't know what you mean," said Hinata.

"Hey, we told you OUR names, aren't you going to tell us yours?" asked Naruto.

"I don't have a name," said the Dark Elf. "Are you going to give me one, Master Naruto?"

"Ahhhhh," said Naruto, glancing helplessly at Hinata who merely shrugged. "Uhm."

"Are you rejecting me then?" asked the Dark Elf, standing up and looking stricken. "I'm not good enough?"

"No, it's not that," said Naruto. Seeing this strange girl go all tearful like that was not sitting with him well either. "Err. It's just so strange. And... our friends are missing! Yeah, that's it. We gotta find Ino and Sakura."

"Perhaps," said the Dark Elf, considering. These two WERE from offworld apparently. Who knew what strange customs they might have. Two more of the boy's harem were apparently running wild. Well, she knew enough about discipline techniques to address THAT issue. "If I bring them back, properly chastised for their disobedience, then you will accept my service?"

"Yeah, that sounds good," said Naruto uncertainly. "I guess."

"Deal then," said the Dark Elf.
