Ranma had been momentarily paralyzed while various impulses warred within him. Therefore he was still in the futon when the water hit. He became a she.
Michiru had winced and begun to stretch, but hadn't a clue as to what was coming. Therefore she was still in the futon, looking at Ranma, when the chest under her hand and the leg she'd hooked her own around shifted.
Michiru stared. Sort of like one of the Starlights, except this appeared involuntary. How terribly convenient. She could marry a guy, and apparently indulge her taste in girls at the same time.
Ranma wasn't a mind reader, otherwise she might have gone through the window at this point.
Oh, and there had been something about another fiancee - at least according to Nabiki.
Stupid pervert. She knew that part of why he had those girls clinging to him was because he had this desperate need to be liked which conflicted with his need to assert his independence. (That Pop Psych course was proving to have unexpected dividends.) Didn't mean she wanted to be around when everything hit the fan, though. If she stuck around she'd either end up married or she'd be completely unready for the test.
So she was satisfied, having avoided the whole situation and spent a pleasant time with her friends instead of in the middle of the mess that would have been last night.
Bucket - full. Filled from the outside tap so it would be nice and cold.
"Ranma! You're going to be late!" Open door, throw bucket, bask in the warm accomplishment of proving your superiority once again over an idiot boy.
Except. Who the heck was that?! And why was she naked?!?!
Akane decided on seeing this girl clinging to Ranma, that the best response was:
