Ukyou felt a sort of guilty pleasure as she walked into the school the next day, despite the fears she had that either Nabiki or Akane would give her problems today.
She had no illusions that Ranma would keep things secret. For one thing, he didn't think either Tendo would have a problem with what they had done last night.
Part of her agreed with him, a large part actually, though this was a case of intellect getting in the way of instinct.
As usual, she was at school early. She was used to waking up early to get her business ready, so on the days she had school and thus no business, it was relatively easy to get to the campus well ahead of time.
She was walking through the gate when someone grabbed her ass.
Turning about with a look of fury she was prepared to smack the perpetrator into the next life until she saw who it was.
She'd thought the weird condition Nabiki and Akane had been suffering had run its course in the elder and she'd gone back to being normal.
What she was seeing now made that a lie.
Nabiki pressed her silver bangs back from her smirking crimson face as she passed by Ukyou and winked.
Ukyou, mouth gaping open, watched Nabiki pass on into the school building, wings folded against her back and tail wrapped around one of her legs, waving knowingly at Ukyou.
"...the hell?" Ukyou said, blinking.
Off balance, the chef stumbled into the building, her mind trying to make sense of Nabiki's actions in ways that would fit with her understanding of the world.
She was still trying to make sense of things when Ranma and Akane came into the room together. The fact that they were casually and intimately close without thinking about it was easily apparent.
And it wasn't bothering her, though she was trying convince herself that it did.
Akane's "condition" had advanced somewhat, there were visible knobs on her forehead and Ukyou wondered if she'd started being able to hide herself like Nabiki apparently could.
"Hey, Ucchan," Ranma said moving to his seat.
"Ranchan," Ukyou said, smiling even as she carefully watched Akane.
Akane noticed the look and, glancing around to see that no one was watching, bent down close to Ukyou's face.
"Here it comes," Ukyou said, tensing for a fight.
And then Akane kissed her on the cheek and whispered "Welcome to the family."
"But..." Ukyou said in confusion as Akane moved to sit down.
"Eh, told ya they wouldn't mind," Ranma said under his breath, hoping nobody else heard.
