On the minus side, it was a lot more crowded.
"RANMA! STOP PLAYING WITH DOLLS LIKE A GIRL AND... OW! OUCH! WAH! NO, NOT THE PLANTSCHHHH! MRFFFF!"
All in all though, it seemed to Ranma like it was more plus than minus.
Gendo did not like Minaka Hiroto. No, not at all.
SEELE was mainly composed of dark conspiracists who preferred to remain completely hidden while scheming and manipulating things from the shadows. This was the approach Gendo Ikari favored as well, and he considered himself quite skilled at such subterfuge.
On the other hand, there was Minaka Hiroto - who largely seemed to want to play the egomaniacal mad scientist villain out of some tokusatsu program. Wealthy, VERY wealthy in fact, and the CEO of a major bio-tech company in Japan. It had been his research that had formed the bulk of the current units.
Cape fluttering dramatically behind him as he walked around the room, Hiroto was apparently ignoring the glare directed at him from Gendo.
"I do not require your assistance," said Gendo in a cold voice. "Nor are we proceeding with your 'Sekirei Plan' - there is too little control over the final result."
"Oh yes, yes," said Hiroto, waving off the point. "SEELE shares your concerns. So I'll wait until you fail miserably before I implement my own plan."
"Then all I have to do is complete my task, and you will have lost your opportunity," pointed out Gendo.
"Something like that," agreed Hiroto.
"Why do you insist on dressing like someone out of 'Moonlight Mask'?" asked Gendo.
"Why do YOU insist on dressing like some goth/beatnik reject?" replied Hiroto. "Because it's a matter of style of course. Of which I have an enormous surplus. BWAHAHAHAHA!"
Gendo groaned and silently vowed he'd wrap this up fast so he could get rid of the annoyance as soon as possible.
