[Episode 221522] [Episode 221522]The fall of mankind. The failure of Eva-unit 01, The birth of the Lilum...and their following enslavement. ----------------------------------------------------------------------
Gunfire sounded through out the halls as soldiers charged and fired, No one was spared. Civilians and military personal both fell to the brutal assault of the JSSDF soldiers. *Area 9 clear!* *Area 5 clear!* *Eva cages clear!* "Where are they?" asked a commander, his eyes showed signs of frustration but his body showed nothing. "We can't find them...The Children are gone, along with their Eva's But we managed to secure Unit 00." "That's a relief..." Alarms blared around the PCC (Portable Command Center)"What's going on?" Eva unit 02 has been found. The second child is attacking!"
*Geofront Lake*
"This is pathetic!" Asuka crowed as she threw the cruiser her Eva held. "As long as Momma is with me you won't WIN!" She yelled using her AT field as a weapon, slicing through the JSSDF mobile forces and vehicles.
"Sir... I recommend using them..." the adviser said to his commander just before his screen went blank. "Send in those atrocities. May god have mercy on us." And the hounds of hell were released.
(I'm assuming that most people have seen this fight, Asuka V.S. the M.P. Eva's. It's not really important for this story so I'm going to skip it, since it went the same anyway.)
*Geofront Terminal Dogma*
Gendo Ikari smiled, this was what he had been waiting for. "The time is now." He told a naked Rei Ayanami, as he slipped off his right glove exposing the fetal form of Adam, Grafted into his skin. "Now I can become god, and I will have Yui back." Rei was silent, though she knew this was what she was made for, a small part of her was sad that this was all going to end in her death. ~You know this isn't should happen.~ A voice echoed through her head.
*White Land*
Rei gasped and time froze. Everything around her dissolved and she was surround by white. ~This isn't how it's supposed to end.~ A voice said softly. Rei looked around searching through the ever-present white haze. "Who are you?" Rei asked her voice still monotone, though she was clearly confused. ~You know who I am.~ The voice returned from behind her and Rei turned...to see the ghostly visage... of Herself.
"This does not make sense." Rei's answer was immediate and precise. The ghostly image just smiled. ~It doesn't make sense, but it's still happening.~ The voice replied, the ghostly figures mouth never moved. "I order you to return me at once." Was Rei's response to the apparition that held her image. ~I can't do that. If I return you now, nothing good will come of it. Instead I'm going to show you something.~ The ghost responded before scenes played in front of her eyes. Her first encounter with Shinji, his caring smile, him rescuing her from the superheated entry plug, him suffering at the near-death of Toji Suzahara, his caring smile, then she felt them... Foreign things... "Are these... emotions?" she asked as her encounters with Shinji flashed through her mind. ~That's right... He cares about you Rei...~ "He doesn't know what I am." ~Do you think he would care?~
This actually shocked Rei, would he care if she died? Would the commander care if she died? ~You know he wouldn't.~ She was broken out of her musings with that. "Why are you doing this?" ~To show you a more worthy individual... someone who wouldn't abuse the power you are about to receive.~ And with that everything went dark and time continued as normal.
*Terminal Dogma*
"Now lead me to Yui." Gendo finished his speech and thrust his hand forward, it easily slipped into Rei's body, Like it wasn't even there... then she felt it... that presence, the same one in the strange hallucination. "Lilith." The words exited her mouth as she was drawn back the the giant figure behind her. Just before she reached it Time stopped again. ~Choose... Will you continue and let him use you? Or will you give this power to one who would not abuse it?~
(I realized that claiming that restart spot wasn't a very smart thing to do, I was hoping my boss would start his Eva story using it, but he never did, So I'm going to use this to make a story you'll probably enjoy reading as much as I enjoy writing.)
