"So let me see if I've got this straight here. You want me to join this SERA organisation of yours, in order to train this kid as a Devil Hunter?" Asked the man to the two women standing next to him.
"That is correct." Said the small shrivled woman perched on a rather twisted walking stick. "You came highly recommended from both the American government and InterPol, and from the stories I've heard about you, not to mention seeing you in action against that one Alpha level last week, I can't think of anyone more suited to take young Ranma's skills to the next level."
"Indeed. That, and the physical resemblence between the two of you. Even though the bloodwork came back negative, I could easily believe that you were his father, or at least his older brother." Added the lady doctor standing at his other side. "His and your eyes are almost the exact same shade of blue, and then there's the hair color, so white it almost seems to, well, glow."
"Brother, huh? I had an older twin brother once. I guess it could be fun to be the older brother for once. And you're right, there is something about him that seems almost... familiar, but at the same time, different. I don't know what it is though." Answered the man, who was wearing the black pants and vest, and red overcoat that had become something of a trademark of his. "I do have a few conditions though. One, this is a Contract position, so I can take on other jobs as well. Two, I want my own building where I can set up my own office to facilitate taking on said jobs, as well as set up a few necessary training rooms. Three, I don't want to have to pay any rent or utilities, or have to pay for food. And Four, and this is the most important one, having the Kid stay during the week is fine, but on weekends he gets to go home. Seeing family regularly is important."
"That seems reasonable for the most part, but if you want all that, would you also be willing to train the other children occasionally, as well as take the odd patrol job whenever the fog rolls in?" Asked Dr Mizuno. "The guys upstairs are probably more likely to agree to all your conditions if you do."
"I don't see any real problem with that." Answered the man known as Dante Sparda. "So, when do I start?"
"Tomorrow, if possible. We've only got another five years or so before whatever's coming, comes. But let's not worry about that anymore today. The children have been looking forward to seeing each other again for a while now." Replied the doctor, looking over to where Ranma and Mamoru had been introducing their new "sisters" to the rest of the group.
Shampoo and Motoko seemed to get along well with the other children, but each other... and then Shampoo had caught Motoko looking at her "brother" for a bit too long, and it just escalated from there.
