"Good googly moogly," summed up Sayuri.
"What made you think this was another world?" asked Nabiki.
"Blue snow, three moons in sky," Shampoo said with a shrug. "What else?"
"Snow? Moons?" asked Nabiki. "It's just more cavern!"
"Uhm," said Ranma, not slow to speak up when given the chance. "Hold on. I don't see any snow or moons, but it's sure not a cavern."
"What do you call THIS, Saotome?" asked Nabiki as she struck out against the nearest vertical surface.
"A castle wall," said Ranma with all apparent seriousness.
"It looks Greek," said Kasumi.
"What ARE you all talking about?" asked an irritated Genma.
Everyone began talking at once, which lasted for about a minute before Cologne brought down her walking staff in the Dragon's Tail manuever.
KA-THWAM!
"Now," said Cologne in a reasonable tone now that everyone was quiet. "All of you see something similar, don't you? This is a staircase that winds around but basically goes up and down, correct?"
"Uhh, yeah," said Ranma as everyone else made agreeable noises.
"I ran across this idea on one of my television dramas," mused Cologne. "A staircase that links hundreds of parallel universes. Since it is something that exists outside our usual universe, it would only make sense that each of us interprets what we see in a different way."
"So it looks like the inside of a Japanese castle to me - why?" asked Ranma.
"I would expect that the door looks different to each of us as well," said Cologne, briefly jabbing her cane at that entry.
"There is no door," said Nabiki.
"It's a Greek arch," put in Kasumi.
"I think it looks kind of Ainu myself," put in Ryoga.
"Ancient Chinese," summed up Shampoo, "not sure of exact era."
"So, where to now?" asked Akane. "Up or down?"
