Nabiki walked over to the window and thoughtfully gazed out her window. Everything looked the same.… Then she realized: while everything was in it’s proper place, the colors were off!
She was staring out the window, picking out different objects, trying to figure out just how the colors had changed, when she found herself rubbing her arms, reacting to an odd, tingling sensation. Glancing down, her eyes widened — was that fur growing and thickening?! And the tingling sensation was turning into an itch, and then an stinging feeling, and seemed to be travelling up her arms, across her shoulders, up her neck and down her back …
Then she screamed, collapsing onto her bed, her back arching and vision going white as all-encompassing pain smashed her down and every joint seemed to erupt with white-hot heat. Even as she writhed, she realized her screams were being echoed from throughout the house. It must be hitting everyone else, she had time to think before her torment rose to a crescendo and crushed her into oblivion.
