Ranma was running hard, his pursuer right behind him. Yes Him. Something had snapped inside Ranma that day and a ton of things the demon didn’t count on. The Neko-ken bound a nekomata’s soul to his, defeating Saffron had given him a spark of immortality and his pure burning will for life and freedom within honour had given him the strength to beat the demon back and escape into the depths of hell.
Gotta love those techinicalities. Neither Genma nor Nodoka had any amount of immortal or Neko in them as such Ranma technically was a different entity entirely. Neither of them had pure white hair, fangs or slitted eyes. They couldn’t transform back and forth from a Nekomata form and certainly couldn’t mix and match them.
He dodged around twisted and gnarled trees that were actually people who had tortured the environment trapped like that. He heard a snarling and his slitted red eyes narrowed. Cerberus was a little too close for comfort. Stupid mutt never learned no matter how many times it got mauled. It was a little close but Ranma was calm now that he knew it was just the mutt this time. No challenge, no threat.
“Three... two... one...” Ranma counted down before lashing out behind himself with a vicious rear kick shattering the jaw of the closest mouth then did the same to the other two with both his elbows and not bothering to look. Beating up the stupid animal had lost its entertainment value after the twelfth time or so. He hadn’t bothered to count.
“Stupid mutt.” He said grinning. “I don’t even have to unsheathe my claws for pities sake. I can’t believe you’re supposed to be a devil class demon.” He yawned and moved forwards. “Oh my a cliff.” He said dryly seeing the hundred metre plus drop with jagged rocks on the bottom before casually stepping out into the air and freefalling, tumbling through the air until he landed lightly on the point of a stalagmite. He slid down it and continued trekking.
“Hopefully I can find a Hellgate sometime this decade. I’m not letting the Nerima nutcases getting out without a few scars at least.” There was a shriek from above and a blood red bird soared down towards Ranma who grinned. “Lunch nice.” He noted as the bird flew down towards him intent on impalling its beak into his heart but was caught rather easily and its neck snapped. Ranma eagerly ripped off its featherless wings and started munching one.
Suddenly a shiver ran down his spine and he grinned. “Alright!! Finally!” he shouted racing towards a forming Hellgate. The competition would be insane but that’s the way he loved it. He streamlined himself as he sprinted further and further until he was running on all fours, then in a haze of reddish black demonic energy he was a two tailed white cat with short fur racing forwards. He shifted so he was leaping from stalagmite to stalagmite until he was nothing but a white blur.
He stopped a good half K from the gate. Forty scarecrows even split between arm and leg types. Ten greater scarecrows and... a thunder demon? That’s it? Cakewalk. He rushed in and reduced five lesser to ribbons with the bugs pouring out in the charging slash then instantly shifted into a were-Nekomanta using his two part tail to grab one of the larger scarecrow and started swinging it around like a bladed wrecking ball, the constant impacts disorienting it and shredded a good ten scarecrows before he hurled it at another greater scarecrow with a flip causing them both do explode in a blast of the hellbugs that composed their bodies. He took this time to take a human form again, complete with his usual silks.
Ten of the scarcrows jumped to try and get him from above as the Thunder Demon charged up a powerful blast of energy. Ranma dived out of the way in time to let the scarecrows get blasted apart by the Thunder Demon’s attack. Another one tried to stab him but he rolled on the blade, grabbed the demon and swung him around to gut another scarecrow before tearing open this one’s burlap hide and then backflipping up and over a greater scarecrow who tried the wheel trick on him but only served to pulp three different scarecrows.
Ranma smirked at all this and when he landed he embedded his right arm into the ground and grabbed something. He then tried to rip it out but looked like he was stuck. “Oh shit.” He said loud enough for the Thunder Demon to hear him. It cackled madly and dove in. “Gotcha dumbass.” He said whipping out a huge sword made of bone and running it through. It was a vicious serrated white thing with out a guard and he could get it to dance in his hand with skill and elegance.
Another greater scarecrow was trying to leap on him and he chucked the dying thunder demon and the sword right through it. He had to jump over the now two rolling greater scarecrows and Ranma saw with a roll of his eyes that he was about to be surrounded.
As a Nekomanta Ranma had certain gifts over life and death, hence why he was alive in hell. He used this connection to summon a pair of bone Katanas and spun so quickly that the six lesser scarecrow that had jumped at him were sliced to ribbons and he then hurled the blades as a pair of death wheels to the remaining four and they each soared through one scarecrow and then into another destroying them all.
His eyes narrowed as the last two opponents and as one closed in he tried something different. Instead of dodging he unsheathed his claws causing his hands to toughen up massively and he caught the damn thing then hurled it into the other one charging towards him. In that huge mess of blades and burlap both were badly punctured and slashed causing them to fall apart.
“Finally!” he said with a fanged smile as he walked out the Hellgate intending to demolish it when he was on the other side. He leaped into the gate and on the other side it stretched outwards and tore allowing the man with glowing red eyes and open long-sleeved Chinese shirt through with a catlike yowl of triumph. Ranma was back and better then ever! His eyes fell on the welcoming committee and he was a little surprised to see...
