Sumire wanted to bring Ukyo into their group. Ukyo was in danger of being expelled from their company. Therefore something was needed to keep Ukyo present.
She'd pondered and turned over the ideas in her head for a time when she considered the pokedex and pokeballs that Kohran had developed. Kohran loved tinkering with gadgets, building things, and was pretty darn good at it. She was NOT a Nerdette or other pokegirl type that had special powers/abilities in that field.
Therefore those devices were experimental in nature. They wouldn't be quite as sophisticated as the real thing. They might not even be as protected against someone being clever with them.
Iris closed her eyes and focussed, gathering her mental energies as she sat at the desk. Paper was in front of her, a pencil in her hand.
Kohran stood nearby, a stack of paper in her hands.
The A-bra sent her mind across the path she'd found earlier, knowing the way a bit better this time. As it involved right angles not found in 4-D spacetime, this was still a bit of a headache.

Iris' body straightened from its slump, even if her mind were literally elsewhere.
Welcome Iris. What are you looking for today?
Iris' formed a transparent image of herself as the other formed an image. It was simply easier to have a conversation this way. Kohran is putting together more pokeballs, but we could use Heal and Recharge potions.
That could be a problem, confessed the other. The making of potions is a specialized skillbase, and if Kohran is concentrating on making pokeballs, pokedexes, and a pokecenter...
Then she can't spend the time to learn the brewing of potions.
Exactly.
Iris caused one of her body's eyes to open, and she focussed on the boy who was anxiously watching.
Whoa. Young, but he's a cutie. The other psychic paused. Are you suggesting what I think you're suggesting?
It would take more power than I have, but I have looked into his heart. See?
The other psychic let the impression wash over her. I see. I shall have to discuss this with others. I lack the power myself, but with others of my kind working together - it may be possible.
