Faking It - Great Guardians: The Truth About Saji (LIME) [Episode 225474]

by Gorgo

"Konnichi wa, Ojô-sama. How were classes today at school?"

"It was the after-school events that were far more interesting than anything in class, Mizumi-san," Genpô Saji said as she stepped into the foyer of the beautiful family home located in the countryside in the Ônodai section of Kimitsu, close to the intersection of Chibi Prefecture Routes 92 and 93. "How is she?" she then asked.

"Mijiko-ojôsama has only had two episodes today, Ojô-sama," the elderly governess in the formal yet beautiful clothes — when she was Genpô's age, Mizumi Tsukasamago (also known as Shisonzui) was one of the more prominent tôshi to attend Rakuyô Senior High School — reported as she took her charge's bags and carried them over to a nearby table as Genpô slipped off her shoes and put on warm slippers.

Hearing that, the younger woman nodded. "A good sign."

"Forgive me if I doubt it, Ojô-sama," Mizumi warned.

"Perhaps. I'll go look in on her."

A nod. "Be careful, Yuruko-chan."

A wink. "Always."

It was the radiance of ki that came out of the guest chambers where the woman born Mijiko Hidari lived that alerted the mistress of the home to what her guest's mood was like long before she could walk in and stare upon the tormented creature within.

Right now, it just radiated nervousness.

Bad dreams, no doubt.

But only two episodes so far today.

That was a good sign.

She hoped.

Taking a deep breath, she reached up to knock on the door, and then stopped as the door unlocked itself and opened. Looking inside, the woman known to her peers as "Genpô Saji" and registered on her birth certificate as "Yuruko Wan" could only gape in shock on seeing what was going on inside. "Oh, gods! Mijiko…!"

"Come in."

Hearing that soft and tender voice, Yuruko took a deep breath and walked in, closing the door behind her before she turned to gaze on her permanent houseguest. She then stared at the frail being now standing at the foot of her bed, her nude body aglow with ki as the very air around her seemed alive with power. Fortunately, the room had been long ago proofed against the more violent excesses of the young woman's power; Yuruko had called in the best experts from all over Japan, South Korea and China to ensure that nothing, nothing at all, could be left to chance when it came to ensuring that the real Genpô Saji of the modern age — born fifteen years before as Mijiko Hidari — could not just bring harm to those around her. But to herself as well.

It had been close on many occasions over the years.

"What happened, Mijiko-chan?" Yuruko asked.

Mijiko jolted on hearing that question, and then she turned her pale green eyes — both of which were awash in tears — towards the older woman. "She scared you, Yuruko," she whispered, her voice quivering. "That false girl scared you."

Yuruko smirked. "Well, meeting a person who could kill an immortal to save a friend would be quite the intimidating experience," she admitted, keeping her voice light and friendly so as to not frighten or anger Mijiko. Yuruko had the many bumps and bruises all over her body as mute testimony of what happened when the powerful psychic before her now lost control over herself even over the most minor of things. "But I think that Ranma's coming to Nan'yô might be a good thing."

"But what about what you need to do?" Mijiko asked. "What about those who threaten you, Yuruko? Will this false girl help you if you asked her to?"

"Maybe. Maybe not."

"Then she's a threat!"

A sigh. "Mijiko, she's a threat if we make her a threat," Yuruko mused as she walked up to gently slide her hand through Mijiko's silky black hair, currently tied in two side ponytails by ring barrettes over her ears. Feeling that tender touch, Mijiko smiled as she reached up to undo Yuruko's skirt and allow it to fall to the floor.

Yuruko didn't resist as Mijiko undressed her. While she would loudly and definitely say "No!" to having sex with the younger woman, Yuruko was finding it pretty hard to resist Mijiko's advances in less intrusive and intimate ways. She knew Mijiko viewed her as the one most important and special person in her whole life. That was the down side of keeping the psychic tôshi totally isolated from outside society; ever since she was ten years old, Mijiko had experienced next to no contact with anyone else alive save for Yuruko, Mizumi and the other staff and servants working here. But given how powerful she truthfully was — and given how ambitious and ruthless people, both tôshi and non-tôshi, could be when confronted with someone possessing such terrible and incredible potential — it was the best thing to do in a such a situation.

Yuruko then gasped as a telekinetic bubble seemed to form around her, lifting her off the floor and allowing her to serenely float across the room to Mijiko's bed. "Hey! Take it easy!" she cried out in delight — Mijiko's control over this power was clearly solidifying — as she found herself gently deposited onto the bed.

Before she could move around, she watched as Mijiko floated herself over to land on the bed beside her. A wave of her hand allowed the covers to slide over them, and then Mijiko shifted herself to snuggle close to Yuruko.

"Why did you do that?" Yuruko asked.

Mijiko grinned impishly. "You won't carry me into bed, so I'll carry you instead."

A sigh. "Mijiko…"

"I love you."

Yuruko stopped, and then she smiled. "I love you, too."

They drifted together into a tender kiss as they held each other close.

Outside the closed door to Mijiko's room, Mizumi leaned in to listen to the noise inside, and then she nodded sadly as she moved down the hallway towards the kitchen, where one of the cooks was busy preparing supper. Staring at the girl with the shaggy dark brown hair cut to mid-neck and the golden-brown eyes staring out of a beautiful yet slightly inhuman face, Mizumi repressed the urge to shudder before she said, "Setsumi-san, Ojô-sama and her guest will be detained for a while. Can you keep supper warmed up enough until the time they get hungry and want to eat."

Setsumi blinked as she gazed on the older woman, a smile turning her lips. It never went close to her eyes, though Mizumi didn't really take notice of it. "Of course I can, Mizumi-san. I'll have it placed in the oven and keep it at a decent temperature to keep everything from spoiling. Please call me when they're ready to eat; I want to spend some time on the computer chatting with my friends."

A nod. "Certainly." Mizumi had no reason to complain; Setsumi Tsukasa was an excellent cook all around despite her being only twenty. She had a life and deserved to live it as much as she could while serving the Wan household.

"Arigatô."

As Mizumi walked away, Setsumi watched her go, and then she turned away, her grin widening into something that seemed near savage…

Sometime later, in her private bedroom, Setsumi sat before her laptop, a data connect card linked into it as she tapped away on the controls to bring up a visual contact link with her leader, who was currently in their base of operations located in a remote part of Nerima close to the border with Tomobiki. Two of the places the tôshi of the Seven Schools and those who had long graduated from them would never go.

As soon as the link was opened, the image of a blonde tomboy in her mid-twenties with very cold ice-blue eyes appeared. "Chôjô. Who's this?"

"Sôsetsu," Setsumi replied. "An update about Saji."

"Report."

Setsumi's smile turned wider. She was glad that her room was totally proofed against Mijiko's powers and done in such a way that the young psychic, to say anything of Yuruko Wan herself, could detect the considerable "blank spot" in the ki fields of the Wan home. Not even the attempt made by Ranma Saotome earlier on with his ki power to detect what was happening in this house had picked up on it. "Her powers grow stronger by the day and her control is exceeding even Ôin's fondest expectations, Chôjô-sama. I believe we'll be able to proceed to Phase Two very soon."

A lethal smile crossed Chôjô's face. "Excellent. What of your observations concerning Sonsaku?"

"Her control over Shàobà is total." A frown turned the younger woman's lips down as she added, "Unfortunately, her loyalty to Saotome is also total. That will have to be broken and the 'Godslayer' moved out of the way before Sonsaku can be used."

A nod and a dismissive wave of her hand. "Don't worry about it. Kakin is already preparing something towards that end. I'm sure it will be easy enough to break Sonsaku away from this outside interloper and remind her of her true loyalties."

"Easy enough. All the assistance we need is right close to where you're based."

A chilling laugh. "True."

"What of our future emperor?"

A lethal smirk. "Almost converted over, Sôsetsu. Kenseki and Teikô have already built up the right enough evidence to convince him to leave his current 'fiancée' and seek out more warm and accommodating companionship." A titter. "Turns out in fact that there are as many falsehoods about that so-called 'engagement' as there were between Saotome and his three would-be 'fiancées.' When the truth of that gets out into the public, so many people will be devastated."

"A great benefit for more than just our beautiful emperor, Chôjô-sama."

"Hai, true. Maintain your watch."

"I will."

So now we…
