"Alright. I suppose for once in my life it might as well be painless." Ranma said holding out his hand and Death nodded taking it and instantly Ranma collapsed as a transparent version stayed in the same position.
“Whoa, what a head trip.” he said a little stunned his voice holding an echoing quality to it.
"Yes it does that. Anyways, we must be off. Thank you again Madam Tendo for your gracious hospitality." he said with a slight bow towards Kasumi before both he and Ranma were consumed by fire that didn't burn anything leaving them with a cooling corpse.
Somewhere else.
"So... where are you bringing me?" Ranma asked as they walked on a smooth concrete path with a slight incline surrounded by white nothingness. Held up by nothing and with a bright light at the end of it.
"Well your reward is a little complicated. You see you're getting one because despite everything that has happened to you and everything that was done you have always done what was best for others sacrificing your hopes, dreams, innocence and nearly your life and eternal soul as well. Self-Sacrifice is one of the greatest of virtues and it drew a great deal of celestial attention. You have been watched very closely these past years." Death explained and Ranma nodded not really noticing that he was growing smaller and more childlike with every step they took.
"Many deities particularly the more... motherly ones saw that a great deal of your problems ranging from psychological to social to physical were due to a poor upbringing. You were trained as a warrior when you should have been surrounded by a loving family. So a fair number seek to help you regain what you lost. In fact, until recently many female deities have been... arguing about whom gets to adopt you. When they do they will leave an imprint of sorts on you so that you'll be their child by blood as well." Death explained.
"So my reward's a better shot at life?" he asked.
"Not exactly. It's a shot at an eternal life. However I must warn you that with immortality comes a great many responsibilities. As a martial artist you were sworn to protect the weak. As a deity you will be bound by the Ultimate Force which is our laws made sentient. These rules may be on occasion bent but never broken." he explained his skin and hair fading away to bone and fire again and his business outfit turning into a ragged black cloak that seemed to absorb light.
"So who won the argument?" Chibi-Ranma asked taking note of his new miniature size. "What the!?" "WHAT THE!?" he demanded as redheaded version of his new mini self was made visible around Death's robe as he took a couple of steps after they stopped.
"Well this is one of the more reliable ways to dispel a jusenkyo curse, split it. Ranma meet Ranko. Ranko, Ranma. You're siblings now twins in fact, congratulations."
"Wait! What's going on! Are we like getting adopted by someone?! Who?!" They demanded in stereo and Death answered
