In it was a history of Jusenkyo, Jusendo, the source of magic for the springs, and how they were created. With the information in that book, one could cure a Jusenkyo curse. With the information in that book, one could CREATE a Jusenkyo curse.
Which was what he had done, of course. A full barrel of prime freshly-brewed Jusenkyo curse water.
Magic and curses, particularly transformations, were his stock-in-trade. This would turn out a fairly interesting diversion after all.
As for poor Ryouga, now he would be quite able to vent. The 'Spring of Rampaging Monster' would see to that. It just took his temper and put that into overdrive.
Of course, it was also physical in nature. As Genma was finding out with the new Ryoga focussed on him. Especially as there was no little black piglet confronting him. Instead the new cursed form of Ryoga Hibiki was:
