Hotaru's boyfriend stood up and watched them warily as Hotaru herself blushed deeply. This also showed that he had some sort of strange staff with him that vaguely reminded Haruka and Michiru of Setsuna's time staff despite looking almost nothing like it. It was just a simple straight piece of wood with an orb on the top.
The boy himself was far from normal, in a white duster that had a slight mantle on him with yellow trimming. It looked like he had tattoos on him in chalk white that went in sweeping lines. His hair was the same pure white color and braided tightly.
"Lovely Hotaru-chan you didn't tell me your parents have magical powers too..." he said and the staff quivered and flew into his left hand and he held it in a defensive position. He was nearly totally still with only his breathing, blinking and a slight shuffling of the feet being his only movements as he watched them warily.
"Ansis..." Hotaru said and he smiled at her.
"Don't worry, if things go the way I hope then nothing bad happens." he said.
"Oh so some tattooed punk is a good influence? Please." Haruka said noting the bars of lighter skin that followed his jawline and went down his neck and another pair starting dead center under his lower lip and going down.
"These are family markings thank you very much, I get them from my mother." he said.
"Then what kind of freak are you?" Haruka demanded with none of her usual charm.
"Haruka-poppa! Please! He's not a freak he's part angel!" Hotaru protested and both of them stared at him.
"No it's more like my mother was one in the ancient past before taking mortal form." Ansis corrected with a slight smile as both Haruka and Michiru stared.
"What? You're mother is an angel?" Michiru asked and he breathed a sigh of relief as he stood up straight and rested the staff in the crook of his arm.
"A Deva, she is essentially an immortal servant of the gods of light that has chosen to live among mortals." Ansis said. "Well Firefly it looks like we'll have to hold off till tomorrow at the movies." Ansis said a little sadly.
"Yea, we're busted." Hotaru agreed sadly. This really hammered it home to both parents that they were fully in the wrong and were getting very uncomfortable. Despite catching them both at a very awkward moment he was polite in control and apparently a very good influence.
"Well wait um..." Michiru
