As a Megami she'd already determined that something was off, investigated, and was now in her third cup of the Third Tier Restoration technique (drinking tea) as she'd mulled over the changes.
Her first guess as to who was involved, based on the changes she'd sorted out from what she now remembered, was Happosai - who COULD done something with a very powerful magical artifact.
She had, in this timeline, been the old and powerful leader of the Amazon Tribe and had investigated when she'd heard of the illness. She'd eventually come to Japan because after her initial investigation she'd discovered she'd been exposed. Going back immediately meant she'd spread the infection.
She'd held off the disease by her knowledge of ancient healing arts, though admittedly she'd studied those rather less than the battle arts. Eventually she'd submitted to treatment.
She'd eventually woken to find herself youthened with the lightly-pointed ears, subdermal markings, and raw power of a Megami.
In this timeline, she had sent word for Shampoo after her own selection had gone through. Mousse had followed, much as had happened in the unaltered timeline.
Yes, here and now, SHE had a Trainer. While there were parts she found vexing about it all, one didn't get to her age without learning to roll with the punches.
Cologne sighed, shook her head, and wondered at it all. To her - the altered timeline was the real one and the one her talents had shown her as 'original' was new and bizarre. She'd gotten used to things over the decades and seen things develop.
Ranma apparently remembered, but was also apparently not the instigator of the whole thing as he'd been surprised to find her a pokegirl. The term she didn't care for, as she was centuries too old (appearances notwithstanding) to be considered a 'girl'. Pokewomon or pokewoman, however, was an ungainly term she didn't care for that much either.
The markings along cheekbones and in the center of her forehead flared as she began drawing on those powers as a Megami. A short blip sent the information along to the next two links in the chain. Each Megami had slightly different powers and expertise, though there was some overlap.

Cologne found herself preening as Ranma's pokedex announced its findings and forcibly stopped herself. Yes, she was powerful. She had all the Amazon Lore and martial arts knowledge she'd ever had, plus she could weave together threads of magical force into potent spells. Her major access was to the forces of Earth and Water.
"Kolkremu?" asked Ranma.
"Someone from the village who is still there," said Cologne. "I go back to visit on a regular basis. Now, 'son in law' - I have to ask you something."
"Uhhh," said Ranma with a nervous glance at the door.
"I put wards up," said Cologne. "Your presence is concealed for the moment. Now to my question:"
