Kohran replaced that sheet with another from her stack as soon as that was done.
Kohran was a Kitten, not a Nerdette or other tech-psychic. Her personal focus and talents made her an engineer, not a special focus due to breed. She continued her vigil at Iris' side, only pausing once at a sensation of something wrong made itself briefly known.
It was probably nothing though.
Sumire looked over the scan from the pokedex and frowned. Ukyo was human, but some of these readings...
She was tempted then to call the whole thing off. Just go to the others with those readings. Maybe she was just reading it wrong, but this looked bad. Iris would be able to look deeper and see if this was true, and then fix the problem. Right?
Sumire considered that briefly, then rejected it. If she WAS reading it right, then it was even more important to bring Ukyo into the group. Iris would see the problem and fix it before Ukyo's health deteriorated. Sumire felt that she WAS the leading lady of their group, and making sure that everyone was healthy would be fine.
Now all she had to do was this and Ukyo would register as one of the Very Near Human breeds. Which one?
Tomboy? They could be cute after all, and the crossdressing fetish fell squarely into their behavior.
Ingenue perhaps? They WERE a borderline group - even in the bad old days they had been seen as close to human as it was possible to get while still being a pokegirl.
One of the Fighting breeds like Amazonwu?
A warning that she was suffering from... oh yes. Traumatic Amnesiac Denial. That had hit quite a few Thresholders decades ago. They'd deny their pasts and recent events, coming up with a completely false background even in the face of people who had known her all along. That would neatly explain everything, as the PokeDex would identify Ukyo as being a TAD crazy.
Of course, Ukyo herself would deny everything. That might still cause the whole thing to collapse.
Iris knew that what she'd contacted was a network of one of the powerhouses of the pokegirl world. A power behind the scenes, but a power to be reckoned with nonetheless. Mechanique was a recent pokegirl type, but fairly strong on their own and nearly as powerful when linked as the Megami could be.
They couldn't, despite their power, send something massive through the worlds. A digitized pokegirl in her pokeball - now THAT was certainly possible.
"You sure about this?" asked Ranma as all the hairs on his arms started lifting. There was a feeling as of something massive building up in the room.
"No, as I said, it has been discussed. Hibiki-san is your rival and sparring partner after all," said Kohran. "If he has his own pokegirl, won't that be useful?"
"So is that what you're bringing across?" asked Ranma, seeing the air shimmer.
"No, actually, these are just parts we can't manufacture here, stored in a dimensional matrix," said Kohran. "We've merely been debating the wisdom of adding more pokegirls to this world."
"Ah," said Ranma. "So what did you decide?"
