Ranma, the Naive Succubus - Anything Goes: Twilight and Trepidation (LIME) [Episode 227563]

by Alias49

Gosunkugi fingered his new collar idly. No one was reacting to it, not even his parents. Mara must have put a charm on it...or him. His stomach somersaulted again at the thought.

Regardless, he had his orders. That imp, Gorash, was his 'keeper' now. He had no idea what any of it meant, but that was fine by him. His first order was not get caught. Second, don't reveal any demonic contact, including his orders, to anyone. Third, report on everything that happened to Ranma and Nabiki. Fourth, do not interfere with them unless instructed.

Gosunkugi paged through his books. He may have been enslaved, but he didn't have to scrabble around like an imp! He would show Mara just how inventive he could be. Maybe then she'd hurt him less.

"Hmmm. Spirit-active film. That should work."

Ryoga looked at the sign that said TENDO DOJO. It was twilight, raining heavily, and he was very careful with his umbrella. I wonder if they can tell me where the Tendo Dojo is, he wondered.

No one has ever accused Ryoga of superhuman feats of intuition. There is a reason for this.

Hours later, Ryoga had found Nabiki's room. The redheaded spirit was cuddled up next to a girl with a pageboy cut, Ryoga recognized her from the last fight. He fought a nosebleed as he looked at the girl's lingerie. She wasn't important. "Ranma!" he hissed, shaking the spirit. "Wake up! It's time to die!"

Nabiki let loose an easy giggle as Ranma held her in his arms. "So, where to tonight?"

Ranma smiled and caressed the nude girl gently, leading her into the hazy space between dream places. As is such in dreams, the background was half-formed, indistinct, until something needed to be called forward. After a long time...or was it only a few moments? They arrived at a temple on a hill.

"What is this place?" Nabiki asked, looking around. Details flickered, half-remembered sights and sounds patched together with Ranma's imagination.

"Pops an I spent a month here, right before we hit China. The training room had some incredible paintings."

Nabiki smiled slightly. Ranma had been showing pieces of his training journey for nearly a week now when they dreamed, and it was exhilarating. And, of course, she made sure he was plenty fed by the time Genma demanded him to train. A lustful grin appeared on her face and she groped him, hard. "So, do we admire art first or second?" she asked.

Ranma blushed hard and was about to answer when a voice ran past them both. "Wake up! It's time to die!"

Ryoga wasn't sure how to proceed. The pageboy haired girl deserved no harm, but he needed to wake up Ranma. Given his confusion, he should be forgiven for not reacting when Nabiki rolled over and kneed him in the groin. And given that Nabiki was not a morning person, could barely see, and hadn't trained in nearly a decade, she can be forgiven for having missed a shot to end the fight before it began.

Ryoga teared in pain but remained standing, desperately telling his body to function as Nabiki opened the window and Ranma threw Ryoga out it. The sound of rain galvanized the lost boy to action and he shielded himself with his umbrella.

Ranma shook her head. "Nabs, stay here," she said, flying through the wall. "Ryoga! It's the middle of the night!"

"Silence!" Ryoga said, his voice several octaves higher than Ranma-chan's. He coughed and continued in a less pained tone. "Vengeance does not care for night or day!"

"This again," Ranma said, lighting easily upon the grass. "You've got nothing to get revenge for!"

"Before I send you to Hell, I will tell you this one thing," Ryoga ground out. Ranma resisted the urge to tell him succubi were not demons. "When you ran out on our duel, I followed you! I followed you to China!"

Ranma mulled that over in her head and looked at Ryoga. China? Wait...why is he carrying that umbrella? He can't fight with that hand; he knows that's a weakness! Unless... "Ryoga, did you? Jusenkyo?"

"SILENCE!" Ryoga raged, lunging for Ranma. "The time for words is past!"

A handweight flew from the house to crack Ryoga's skull. "Take your own advice!" yelled Akane's voice.

Ranma stared as Ryoga fell, his umbrella slipping. He was wet! But before the change came, the lost boy bounded off into the night. "Ryoga!" she yelled, giving chase.

"Ranma?" Akane asked the dark yard. She left her room only to run into Nabiki. "Nabiki! What is...you look terrible."

The middle Tendo was not a morning person. 2 AM was like morning for morning people. She made inarticulate groaning noises as she tried to speak.

Akane just sweatdropped and walked back to her room, backwards, not making any sudden movements, keeping the feral beast that was her sister in sight. She closed the door, then her window, then froze.

Something alive was in her room.

Elsewhere, Ranma had lost Ryoga. The curse blurred him too much for her to track with all the dark and rain. Even seeing through walls only went so far. She sighed and headed back home.

Ranma floated into the house and into Nabiki's room. "Ya okay?"

Nabiki nodded and grunted something that sounded like "Akane" and gestured at the wall.

"I'll check on her," Ranma promised, watching his fiancee go back to sleep. Not a morning person.

In Akane's room, she saw the bluehaired girl cuddling a pig. "Hey, Akane. You okay?" she asked as she floated through the wall.

Akane started and looked to the voice. "Ranma!" she hissed. "What are you doing in my room?"

"Hey, I just want to make sure Ryoga didn't hurt you or anything."

"Oh, well, no. But this little piggy came in out of the rain."

Ranma looked at the pig more closely, and it looked back. "Huh, Nabiki was right. Animals can see ITEE!" Ranma winced as little hooves tried to claw her eyes out. "Little bastard," she snarled.

"Oh, he's just a cute little pig, freezing cold by the feel of him. Say, are you headed to the furo?"

Ranma couldn't tell Akane that she'd rather sleep like this with Nabiki, so she nodded. "Uh huh."

"Take the piglet?" Akane begged.

"BWEE?"

Ranma sighed and took the piggy in her hands. "I got him. Open the furo door for me?"

"Ah, right."

"Bweeee..."

And so it came to pass that Ranma-chan was holding a very wet, bandanna wearing, nude Hibiki Ryoga in the furo.

"Ryoga...you're a..."

"Ranma! Prepare to die!" Ryoga raged, throwing a punch. Ranma quickly made to the ceiling, out of range.

"So you did go to Jusenkyo!"

Ryoga told his tale of woe, wandering China, fighting some crazy woman who thought he was after her kids, until...

"...I jumped high to avoid the charging panda. I don't think it ever saw me. Then this crazy spiritgirl flew past and caught me in the chin. I fell off the cliff into the spring. But it did not end there!"

Ryoga continued his tale of nearly being eaten by a panda, of the Guide telling him about the Jusenkyo curse. "And it is all your fault for running from our duel!"

"Hold it!" Ranma cried, dropping down to eye level. "You were knocked into the spring by a spiritgirl, right?"

"So?"

"So why are you mad at me!? You should be mad at that panda and-"

No one has ever accused Ranma of superhuman feats of intuition. There is a reason for this.

Then a panda opened the furo door, and promptly closed it again.

"A...panda," Ryoga said. He looked to Ranma, who was making the most innocently adorable expression ever.

Ryoga's expression would have fit the face of death better than a boy. "That spiritgirl was you!! RANMA!!!"

Ranma yelped and flew for the closest wall centimeters before Ryoga's fist impacted the shower there. "THAT'S CO-BWEEE!!"

Ranma floated back and sighed in relief at the sight of the black piglet in the cold water. "Just cool down, Ryoga," she said soothingly. "Let's just talk this out."

Then the pig bit her.

"Honestly, how much noise does it take to bathe a piglet!?" Akane yelled, watching the pig in question race down the hallway, a furious Ranma-chan in hot pursuit by the sound of the cursing. She gathered the pig up in her arms. "What are you doing!?"

"Coward! Hiding behind a girl!"

Akane snorted. "Ranma, unless talking to animals is one of your perverted spirit powers, just go to bed." She smiled at the piglet and gave it a little kiss on the snout. "Sounds like a good idea, eh?"
