Yoda was sitting calmly in meditation, letting his focus spread as far it could. Then suddenly a wave crashed into his mind sending him back into his body and his body tumbling onto the floor. Shaking his head and standing up he heard the doors open and several people come running in. In front was a tall dark skinned man, Mace Windu. Mace knelt down to help the Grand Master of the Jedi Order to his feet as the other Jedi Masters took up their seats.
When Yoda and Mace took their places Shaak Ti asked a rather blunt question, “OK what in the name of the Force was that?! It felt like flying in a speeder with no inertial dampeners.”
“More like a hull breach in star ship,” Plo Koon submitted. “But even then that doesn't begin to describe what we felt.” 'He paused for a second seeing the other Masters nodding their heads, including Yoda. “I doubt we'll find anything in the archives.”
“We should try and locate the source,” Windu announced. “This, whatever it was, will have a significant effect on the Galaxy.”
“But what do until then?” Ki-Adi-Mundi asked. “I can already feel everyone in the temple talking about this. Do we keep it a secret or do we let the Senate know about the Disturbance.”
“Keeping it secret we cannot,” Yoda said. “Too many know. Ask questions they will. Senate will hear and come to us. Answers they will want.”
“Answers we don't know anything about,” Windu replied. “We need to start searching for the source. But the question where do we start?”
Three days had passed since the Hidden Village Konoha had disappeared from their home world/dimension. There was much unrest in the village, four clan leaders and one Adviser were dead and another five were in coma's due to chakra exhaustion, and the other Adviser was awake but could barely walk. His chakra pathways were completely burnt out. The power grid was off line but the water system was working. The chakra barrier had collapsed completely and the Barrier Keeper and the best Seal Masters in the village were working on repairing it. And finally dozens of summons were being summoned and messages were being sent to all Konoha shinobi out in the field. All in all that meant the the Sandaime Hokage had a continuous headache for the past three days.
Currently the Hokage his remaining Adviser and the Clan Heads, actual or acting, were inside his old office discussing the current situation here and back 'home.' “I've finally been able to talk to Jiraiya, he is organizing any and all shinobi to meet him at the capital of the Fire County,” Sarutobi stated. “At the current estimates we have about hundred active personal that will need to be reversed summoned here, the rest all already on their way.”
“What of the Kyuubi itself?” Uchiha Mikoto asked. She was filling in for her husband as he had been one of the ones to end up in a coma.
“Gone apparently,” the Hokage answered. “After we left, the Kyuubi simply vanished. No one is quite sure why but there is speculation that the Kyuubi was summoned and now that the target is gone it was sent back to wherever it came from.”
“Who could have summoned the beast?” Hyuuga Hizashi asked, he too was filling in as acting Clan Head. Unlike Mikoto his brother had already died.
“There have only been two people that we know of that could control the Kyuubi, and both are dead although one could control it better that the other,” Koharu said.
“Who, if anyone, sent the Kyuubi to attack Konoha is not the immediate issue,” Sarutobi stated cutting off any speculation at the time. “Right know we have more important things to worry about. Such as where are we, what are our supplies like and how is everyone handling the transportation?”
“Where we are, is unknown,” Nara Shikaku said. He was one of four Clan Heads still up and about. “The stars don't match up to any known chart and the wildlife is totally alien, not all that surprising really considering what we did.”
“Not too mention the background energy is different,” Uchiha Mikoto added.
“What do you mean?” Akimichi Chouza asked.
“All life gives off chakra and the energy lingers for a while then dissipates,” Hizashi answered. “The lifeforms here do this too but the energy seems to stay...tangible would be the best word although that does not properly describe the phenomenon either.” Mikoto nodded in agreement at the assessment leading the others to ponder what this could mean for the future.
“We'll investigate that at another time,” the Hokage intervened before anyone could ask more, including himself. “What about the citizens?”
“The Chunin and Jounin are keeping calm but the Gennin and civilians are jumpy,” the Koharu answered. “Also the the food stores are intact and the engineers say they have the power grid up and running by the end of the day.” That brought some relieved smiles from all those around. The environment was compatible with humans like the Toad Sages said it would and that meant the flora and fauna were edible. That did not mean anyone was in a rush to try any at the time. Also having the power grid back on would calm the nerves of the Gennin and civilians, neither were really used to roughing it like the Chunin and Jounin. “What of the Fire Daimyo? What has he to say about our...predicament and what of the other Hidden Villages?
“The Daimyo has requested a contingent of ninja to be stationed at the capital at all times,” the Hokage answered. “He doesn't like the fact we...relocated but can't really do anything about it. I have already sent a quarter of the Anbu back. The other Hidden Villages are in a state of shock, according to Jiriaya, most are wondering if we used some kind of new Genjutsu or if we actually moved Konoha somewhere. Currently I have instructed the Anbu to begin a disinformation campaign so that others will not know exactly what happened.” The others nodded seeing wisdom in this. Konoha and the Fire Country were technically two separate governments but no one in Konoha wanted to see Fire Country invaded by someone thinking that without Konoha it was an easy target. “Now onto the immediate future, what kind of civilization, if any, have the scouts encountered?"
