Since the Death Star, there hadn't been a need for patrols of the system or keeping the peace. She'd been off hunting pirates and her ship had been one of a dozen in the system that had seen their homes destroyed in an instant.
She'd floated from one job to another, the rest of the crew drifting off or pooling their ships and deciding to go mercenary. Uccan hadn't been too sure what she wanted to do.
She had seen the last of her money about to evaporate when she'd run into Red on this old gas mine named Bespin.
Red had cheered her up and got her a job working a turretgun on a liner.
The pay hadn't been great, but at that point she'd have taken almost anything. She owed Red. Now she also owed this Xiang Yi chick.
She'd just come off a work gig on a ship called Stardust Memories when she'd been cornered by three thugs. Heavyworlders - not a race she was familiar with. They'd taken her for processing.
Slaves sold. It was a common commodity on Hutt controlled worlds and the like. Mainly they went after people with no ties, drifters and the like.
Now here she was, crossing paths with Red again, who apparently had very little trust for that Captain over there.
Said captain was being followed by a group of furry little natives and practically sneezing her head off.
Uccan went back to routing power cables. She knew darn little other than her specialty - which was deck guns. Heck, she was only fourteen.
She didn't even realize that
