Alien Shepherds: California Dreaming [Episode 22846]

Selected by the Shepherds had been a strange piece of fiction by a fellow named Eddie Glover titled "Blue Meteor".

They had found it by accessing "Alien Invasion" and "Fiction" together with "Virus", their computers were only fifty years more advanced than humans, but that was a considerable factor of speed and processing power.

The problem with fast viruses is that they burned out very quickly, so midair spreads were necessary. Having cracked human genetic code within the first hour of actual contact with specimens, they quickly worked out the details.

As products of a patriarchal society that had smaller intelligent males and large passive (dumber) females - turning male into female was a horrible punishment. Had they known that in the "nation of California" many would regard this as a blessing, they might well have chosen something different to inflict. The difficult parts of the code had been in determining details from the story of what the end results should look like - but this was quickly followed up by other searches to determine what a lot of these unknown words meant (the entire idea of strippers or prostitutes being, well, alien to the aliens and why the heck were these humans so focussed on milk glands?)

As to the fate of California, that was still being determined as:

So the virus went out, within minutes of the release, millions had been infected and were unconscious. Millions more were infected within a few hours. By the time the test of the three representitives, it had spread well beyond the Left Coast though the deserts left some containment and it wasn't spreading that far.
