Staring out upon the Sword of Akasha Charles Zi Britannia frowns as he rests a hand on one of the pillars, running his hand over the smooth stone as if trying to feel for something in particular.
“Your Majesty?” A voice calls out in a polite and respectful tone.
“Knight Kururugi.” Charles responds turning to face the newest Knight of the Round. “Do you have news about the re-emergence of Zero?”
Bowing before his liege Suzuku replies with a lowered head. “None my liege, so far our surveillance indicates it is not Lelouch who has taken up the mantle of the terrorist Zero again, yet if I maybe so bold as to suggest we should be thorough and investigate more to ensure there is no connection.”
The most powerful man on the planet nods his head. “Given the problems Zero has stirred in the past, whether this is an imposter or indeed my foolish son has regained his memories, he must be dealt with. Once your duties here are concluded you may return to Area 11.”
“My lord!” Suzuku says gratefully, crossing his arm over his chest in a gesture of respect.
“What is the current status of Zero and his men holed up in the Chinese Federation Embassy?”
“They have not budged an inch my lord nor has Zero made anymore announcements.”
“I see.” The 98th Emperor of Britannia muses as he once again touches the pillar. “The resonance seems to have finally stopped.”
Puzzled the Knight of Seven can only utter. “Is something troubling you my lord, if I may be allowed to inquire on the matter?”
“A few hours ago the Sword had a reaction that I had never felt before, whether or not this is an ill or fortuitous omen I have yet to discover.”
Remaining silent as he still did not fully grasp the true meaning of this place, Suzuku merely remains on his one knee, pondering what could cause the Emperor to be so concerned.
The Pacific: 30 kilometers off the coast of Japan/Area 11.
“Ptolmaios maintaining optical camouflage, no sign of any vessels on radar, e-sensor or visual scopes.” Reported a teen with pink hair as she sat before a computer on a raised seat on the bridge of the Celestial Being mother ship.
“GN particle dispersal readings are nominal with no problems!” A spunky brunette states from her control chair opposite of the pink haired girl. “Wow, maintaining stealth cover is much easier since there seems to be no GN particle countermeasure systems.”
Taking a long swig from a canteen of water, the tactical forecaster and captain of the Ptolmaios(II) looks over her shoulder. “Keep up the good work, Feldt, Mileina but don’t let your guard down just because where ever we seem to be doesn’t have the means to counter our GN tech.”
“Roger that Miss Sumeragi.” Feldt replies as she continues to monitor systems.
“How’s the net-hacking going Feldt?” Sumeragi Lee Noriega asks the operator.
“Very well in an almost scary way as every system I’ve hacked for information besides skimming the internet in general doesn’t have a fraction of the kinds of countermeasures needed to keep me out.” Feldt reports with a sigh. “I should be grateful that my work is going smooth, but this just reinforces the fact this is NOT our home.”
“Trust me Feldt whatever happened hours ago ruined just about everyone’s day.” Sumeragi mutters as she rubs the bridge of her nose in frustration. “Some phenomenon that brought the entire Celestial Being satellite, including all of us onboard it to an Earth that seems devoid of everything we know. No Orbital Elevators, the solar generation system, no space colonies, the GN systems set up by the A-LAWS that were still being decommissioned, the entire global structure is vastly alien to what we know!”
“Add what I’m reading online it’s like we stepped into some alternate timeline.” Feldt adds into the commentary.
“Alternate timeline in what way?” Mileina asks curiously as she looks over her shoulder at her friend and crewmate.
“There’s a huge deviation from the history we’re familiar with around the time of the Romans from what I can gather, even the calendar system is different from what we know.” Feldt explains as she looks up from her work.
“Damn.” Sumeragi mutters, fighting the urge to go find some alcohol and have a large stiff one. “I wish Tiera and Linda would hurry analyzing whatever junk left behind on the satellite set off that chain reaction that dumped us here.” Left unsaid was she unsure that even with Veda at their disposal again and with Tiera linked to it directly that finding a clear-cut answer of what brought them here, and how they can get back can be found.
The door to the bridge opens and in steps a young man of Middle Eastern descent with amber eyes. “Has Lockon returned yet?”
“He should be reporting back anytime now given the recon operation time for each of you were around thirty minutes from when you launched.” Sumeragi replies turning her head, “How is the Exia running after the repairs Setsuna?”
“The R2 is working fine with no problems. Allelujah said Arios also seemed to be back to normal operation standards.” The Meister replies. “Unless there’s been some updates you know about since I was out the only units still in the shop are the GN Archer, Seravee, Serpham, the 00 and the 0-Raiser.”
Mileina turns her head with a smile as she faced Setsuna. “Mama’s last transmission states they’re all still under repair, tho’ the GN Archer ought to be done within a day or two.”
Setsuna nods, repairing a mobile suit was easier than repairing two damaged GN Drives or restoring the Raiser System. “So we still have just three Gundams at our disposal.”
“It certainly beats having none.” Feldt says to Setsuna as she continues to pour over data from various sources online. “Considering the 0 Gundam’s solar reactor survived the explosion is a miracle, same for Serpham’s.”
With a heavy nod Setsuna states, “Agreed; especially now in our current situation we truly don’t have the resources to build new GN Drives.”
The sound of the bridge door opening again fills the room. “I’m back for my duty shift.”
Smiling as Lasse Aeon returns to his spot Sumeragi says. “Given we’re not in any combat situation we can stand to have the ship float about on auto-pilot.”
“I’ve rested enough.” Lasse states with a light roll of his eyes. Even after he was found to be cured of his GN-Tau particle poisoning he found himself still being concerned over.
A beeping from Mileina’s console gets everyone on the bridge’s attention. “Oh Mr. Stratos is back! Cherudim’s IFF signal just popped up to starboard.”
“Hail him.”
“Yes ma’am- eh?”
“What is it Mileina?”
The brunette looks at Sumeragi. “Mr. Stratos sent me a message saying he’s got company.”
“Was he followed?” Setsuna asks as his body posture indicated he was ready to run to the hanger at a moment’s notice.
“No, I mean he has company INSIDE his Gundam! He says he has a native with him!”
Sumeragi’s eye twitched, horribly. “He has a native with him?”
“Uh-oh.” Lasse winces.
“I swear to God you Gundam Meisters will be the death of me!” Sumeragi wails in complaint.
