Code 00 with a side of Geass: Notto Disu Shitto Agen [Episode 228633]

by Yasanagi

As expected, when Guilford returned to the military bases established among the Viceroy Palace defense circles, there were at least several dozen reporters who tried to approach him as soon as he landed. After carefully docking the Gloucester into the repair bay, he made a brief announcement with the megaphone system. "Members of the press! I understand that you have many questions regarding the sudden appearance of the Knightmare Frame identified as Gundam at the execution grounds and will answer them accordingly in a future press conference!"

"That's unacceptable!" shouted a reporter from KT-TV. "The public has the right to know what went down over there!" This outburst caused other reporters to keep pouring in questions at once, trying to get the truth.

Guilford merely ignored the reporters below before exiting the Knightmare Frame cockpit. He hopped on to the boarding platform that was accessible only to base staff and military officers. His next destination would be his temporary office where he knew dozens of damage reports were waiting to be reviewed by him. He would also have to draft out letters of condolence to the families of the soldiers who would not be returning home.

He wanted time to think about what happened and how everything went wrong. But all he was left with were more questions... and a deep feeling of shame for not being able to settle matters with Zero and not being able to bring justice for his Princess.

"Lord Guilford!"

He looked up to see an administrative staff member trying to reach him as fast as he could. "What is it?"

"We have an incoming call from Pendragon! The Emperor wishes to speak with you as soon as possible!"

'...... Princess, lend me strength...' Taking a deep breath, he steeled himself in preparation for his conversation with the Emperor.

Deep in the heart of the Geass Directorate city...

"Let's try this again. Young man, if you will."

The boy nodded once before a glowing, bird shaped symbol appeared in his right eye and caused the right arm of Bartley Aspirus to rise up against the bald scientist's will. The hand clenched itself into a fist and prepared to swing downwards. "L-Lord Jeremiah...?"

It was at that moment that the area was bathed in blue light, causing the effect of the boy's Geass to vanish. Bartley couldn't help but give a sigh of relief while Jeremiah Gottwald glanced at one of the other cloaked individuals who was assisting them. "Time?"

"The Geass Canceler negated the effect of that Geass in 0.43 seconds. So far, there has been no recorded difference in time when the Canceler effect is applied to different Geass powers." The hooded man then paused for a moment as he heard a distinct giggle in the background that could only belong to one person.

"Purupurupurupurupurupurupuru~!!"

"It seems that P.P. has regained her spirit," commented the hooded character in a quiet tone.

Bartley couldn't help but wonder what type of crazy character this P.P. would be. After all, aside from himself, there hardly seemed to be any sane people in this Geass Order place. "Is... that a good thing?"

Soon enough, the female immortal bounced by the area and stopped in front of the hooded man while a tired V.V. dragged himself and his long blonde hair just behind her. "Prepare to...*pant*... contact the Britannia Imperial Palace. We... *pant*... have to determine whether Gundam can... *pant*... stop the plan to kill the Gods."

"Ooh! We're calling Chuck?"

"It's Charles," replied V.V. in an irritated tone.

"Chuck, Charlie... it's all the same to me!" exclaimed Ple. "Hey... any chance we can get him to shout ALL HAIL BOOBZ on live TV? That would be so cool, ne?"

There was only one response that the other Code Bearer had for that. "Not this shit again..."
