Nabiki's body spun around the broken kettle and falling water in a blur of motion. When it ended, Nabiki was holding Kodachi's ribbon and her face carried Ranma's smirk. "Out you go!" she yelled, pulling the ribbon with all her strength.
Kodachi was too shocked to think about letting go and went flying over the ropes. The crowd went crazy. "OOOOH! Kodachi is thrown! It's all over!"
Kodachi shook herself out of her funk and blew a whistle. The ring rumbled, shifted, and slid over Kodachi. The raven-haired loony smirked at Nabiki's flat expression. "It's impossible for me to be thrown out!"
'Something stinks under the ring,' Ranma thought.
'Well, let's test it.' Nabiki put two fingers to her lips and repeated the whistle. The ring shuddered again and reversed direction. 'Well, isn't that interesting.'
Ranma pulled back Nabiki's fist. 'Well then, the ring's gotta go.'
'WAIT!' Nabiki cried. 'I have a better idea. Throw her again.'
Ranma frowned and nodded. 'Okay...' he thought uncertainly. Grabbing a club she charged Kodachi.
Ranmabiki and Kodachi exchanged blows for a few seconds. Nabiki stared, metaphysically speaking, as Ranma fought Kodachi to a casual standstill.
'There it is,' he thought idly, and Nabiki felt her body grab Kodachi's club and lever her back into the air.
'Give me control!' Nabiki snapped, scrambling to the far side of the ring as Kodachi flew. As before, Kodachi blew her whistle.
And at the same moment, Nabiki whistled. Kodachi jerked in shock and stared at the short-haired girl. A hushed silence fell over the crowd as they watched this latest gambit.
The ring shifted, shuddered, hesitated, and started out after Kodachi. Kodachi spun and reached for the approaching ropes. They were half an inch away, but it might as well have been a mile. With all the grace and none of the dignity of a gymnast, Kuno Kodachi hit the floor.
Then the ring ran over her.
The silence was broken by a dozen shrieks and Kodachi's entire squad fled from under the ring, terror etched on their faces. Kodachi, now looking fairly mangled and trampled, followed, screaming various retributions for their failures.
Nabiki cleared her throat. "Kodachi! I believe you have a promise to make!"
Kodachi turned to the brown-haired girl with hatred in her eyes. "The word of a Kuno is absolute. So be it! My love for Ranma-sama is no more!"
Nabiki tried to ignore Ranma rejoicing in her mind and demanding that they sing and dance for joy. Instead, she limited herself to a cold, hard smile. "I will hold you to that, Black Rose. That's a promise."
"BWEEEEE!!"
"Oh, and the key for the piglet?"
