Right now then, she had more important things to worry about than the 'why' of the situation. Rather, what she had to do was to help out the jerk, as he wasn't likely to know what to do for himself. Well, he did know enough to keep himself going, but he was so damned clueless that he was more than likely to out everything else aside to take care of his 'duty'. For all that she knew, he was going to not even get to try to keep himself in shape, never mind actually do so. As it was, he wasn't going to be even able to sleep, and was going to be running himself ragged for days to come.
That tore it. She'd simply have to make sure that he was fully watched over, and that meant that she would take care of food and rest for the moron. The least that she could do would be to bring him something to eat at regular intervals, since she was pretty sure that he wouldn't manage that little trick. And it couldn't be some prepackaged mess, but real food that she had cooked with her own two hands.
On top of that, she would see about getting the idiot to relax some, this way making him able to breathe. Doing stuff like that would only be a start, but she'd have done well to get that far. In fact, such an activity would show just how capable a supporter she would be!
"Hell yeah!" she declared, pounding her fists on the edge of her workstation. "I am so going to ace doing it!"
"Whoa? What's got you so excited?" Kyoko asked, nearly jumping out of her own seat.
"Oh. Oops. Sorry about that."
"It's fine, but why are you so energetic?"
Kaname pulled back and frowned slightly. "I am not...."
"Come on, you usually only get this way when you are really into something."
"How can you say something like that?"
"Simple. I've seen it before," her friend admitted, pushing her glasses up higher on her nose.
"Erk. I'm not looking to do anything strange."
"No one said that you were."
"But it's like I'm doing something strange by wanting to make some food for that idiot," the blue haired girl grumbled.
"Who the heck are you.... Wait, are you talking about Sagara?"
"WAH! Why? How? What?!"
Kyoko raised her brows at her friend. "He is the only guy that you've really been involved with lately."
"Right. Okay, but something about that seems a bit like a put down."
"I wouldn't do that to my friend!"
"Thanks, Kyoko," Kaname murmured. "I knew that I could count on you."
"Absolutely. Besides, if you need help, just ask."
"You'll be the first on my list."
"Great! Though it might be nice to just see you go after the boy that you seem so interested in...."
"I am not interested in him!"
"It seems that way."
"Yeah, right!" the Whispered bit out. "I'm not interested in that guy!"
"If you say so. It's just that you have been focusing on him a lot."
"He's just someone who helped me out, so I've got to returned the favor!"
"Okay.... It just isn't that interesting if you two aren't so involved."
Blowing out a breath, Kaname wondered when her life had become a source of amusement. Although she was sure that her friend had plenty of affection and concern for her, she also knew that the other girl was a bit to mischievous in her behavior. To tell the truth, Kyoko seemed to gain a lot of amusement from soap opera like situations. Fortunately, it was clear that they were real friends, and that they were going to stick together for a long time to come.
She was still going to damned well make the best meals that she could for Sosuke though.
The situation wasn't going at all how Tessa would have liked it.
In all honesty, she knew that this wasn't going to be something that she could totally control, but that didn't stop her from wanting to. After all, this was her station, and she cared for all of those who lived within it. For even a part of it to be hit with some sort of problem was bad, but to have two such serious incidents come up rattled her nerves. Explosions were bad, and they caused damage to the station that she loved so much. They might have happened at a part of the station that wasn't supposed to be all that occupied, but it still represented a danger to all those on board the station. With that on top of the danger of that derelict, she began to wonder just what would be the best course of action to help those she was supposed to be leading.
Of course, that did include Mister Sagara. Why, he was one of her most important people, and her feelings for him grew every time that she encountered him. Just meeting him had caused her to have a deep respect for him, and getting to know him only made those feelings grow. Where this would lead, she didn't know, but she rather liked the idea that they really were getting to be closer to each other.
Or rather, they would do so, if it weren't for Mister Mardukas'... vigor in assigning him duties. Really, if he wanted to manipulate Sergent Sagara, he didn't need to go as far as he had. Yet, he'd decided to go full tilt into overworking the young soldier, and she couldn't even countermand the orders. To do so would not only be a misuse of her authority, but would undermine her second in command's ability to do his job. If she second guessed his actions, then every soldier with a beef would come to get her to get their own way. That would not only take away any authority that Mister Mardukas would have, but would make it so that the resulting chaos would be more than the need that had made having a second in command necessary in the first place.
Still, she wanted to do something for Mister Sagara. What she could do was seriously hampered by her position, but she could do some little things in private. Helping him plan his days out could be a big help, and he needed to eat as well. Cooking wasn't something that she was as experienced in as some girls were, but she was certain that she could manage to do a good enough job. Perhaps she might need some help, but she was sure that she could get enough down to help him out.
And all of the aide that she could give him would at least give her plenty more chances to see him.
Giggling to herself, not noticing Mardukas' frown, she began to figure out what she could do to ease the burden on Sagara, while:
