Restart Deluge! Team Pendragon!: Lelouch And The Two Witches [Episode 229815]

by Linnara

"Hi, Lulu, wakey wakey~~"

"Lelouch vi Britannia, if you would please mind waking up now?"

Lelouch vi Brittania, AKA Lelouch Lamperouge, sighed and opened his eyes.

"...If it isn't the Dimension Witch and the Time Witch. - Do I actually have a sign on my back saying 'Witch Magnet' or something like that?"

Yuuko the Dimension Witch and Sailor Pluto only snickered back at him, over the table they were both sitting around. Lelouch sank back into the rather comfortable sofa he'd woken up on, and sighed.

"I thought that I was dead?"

"Yes, yes, and your sister Nunnally isn't - and your world is in, ahh, let us say somewhat better shape then it was when we first contacted you. Though it was touch and go for a while, you do understand...."

"I do now, yes." Lelouch sighed yet again.

"Was it truly necessary to seal off all memories about our Contract - Contracts, though? I could have used the additional imput, you know."

"It truly was, I'm afraid." It was Yuuko's turn to sigh, now.

"The Wish and the Price really has to Balance, or else."

"And some problems can't be solved if one has too much knowledge in advance. Counterintuitive, I know, but it's true."

Pluto added, hands going through her dark green hair.

"But anyway - We had a Contract, or Contracts, or whatever, and we did hold up our side of the bargain, I believe."

Lelouch thought about this a good long while, and then smiled, bittersweetly.

"Well, since Nunnally is safe for the moment, and Suzaku is being Suzaku, and the world I was born in is not on the verge of being sealed up in metaphorical amber anymore, or being destroyed utterly for that matter - "

"For the time being, anyway." Pluto sighed. "I can't gurrantee what would happen in the future, you know - nobody can do that, really."

"But we can do things to lessen the danger to everything that we love, and our loved ones love in turn."

Yuuko added.

"You should remember everything we discussed before by now, I think, Lulu-chan?"

Lelouch looked at both of them, and nodded.

"You - people have enemies. Or rather, Enemies. The Timeline Eaters, I believe you call them?"

Yuuko and Pluto both looked at him at that, sadly and bitterly.

"They're the Enemy of everybody that isn't themselves, not just us, Lelouch. And when we call them the Timeline Eaters - We mean just that. They have this system, in which almost all the timelines they link into get all their energies yoinked out and crash-burned - all except the ones that they keep more or less intact so they have enough interdimemsional ley-lines to keep channeling the energies to their home timelines, that is."

"And then there're all the other Enemies, who are mostly just trying to take advantage of all the chaos the Eaters are causing, but boy are they annoying."

Yuuko sighed, reaching for her sake.

"And so we need every ounce of help that we can get, really."

"And I did promise to be part of that 'help', if I recall correctly."

Lelouch murmured.

"And I do mean to honor my bargain, but..."

"Oh, yes, the 'but'" Yuuko sighed, and waved to Pluto, who put her own sake cup down.

"You see, Lelouch - If you're going to work for us, or with us anyway, we can't afford to let you keep your Geass powers. The Geass powers basically work buy letting Chaos run rampant in their Contractees, which does wonders in the short term but isn't good at all in the long term. There's a reason doping is considered a bad thing in athletes, you know."

Lelouch's fingers twitched. Yuuko hummed, blowing some smoke at him with her water pipe.

"Which is why, at the present moment, you're rather totally Geass-free. - How are you feeling, Lelouch? Your newly remade brand new body should be functioning properly, but..."

"I feel - " Lelouch rubbed his hands together, wishing that he could stop feeling so cold inside.

"Empty and numb on one hand, and lighter on the other hand. - I have no idea how I would ever be useful for anything like this war you are drafting me into without my Geass, however, frankly speaking."

Pluto and Yuuko both looked at him, then. Lelouch looked back at both of them, his fingers tightening around his tea cup. To be so dependent on anything like the Geass...

But he was. Or had been, anyway.

"Oh, don't worry too much about that, my dear. You functioned perfectly well for the first sixteen years of your life without the Geass, and you'll learn to do so again. You have many Talents, and you'll learn to put them to good use, soon enough, I'm sure. - And we do have some pretty good training programs, if I say so myself."

"So." Pluto said, quietly. "Do we have a bargain?"

Lelouch looked at both the Witches, and nodded.

"Yes."
