Shinji Ikari woke up and greeted the new day with his usual lack of enthusiasm and chronical angst. He got out of his room, freshened up, put onhis clothes and went to prepare breakfast for him and Penpen.
For once, he was on his own. Misato had been called away to do an inspection in a NERV facility at Matsuhiro and Asuka, rather than staying alone with a pervert boy, had decided to do a sleepover at Hikari's house. It was... quiet, to say the least. Less pressure on him too.
His two stooge friends weren't available for anything either. Kensuke was on one of his 'survival' trips and Touji was busy with his sister at the hospital.
As for NERV, Dr. Akagi hadn't scheduled any tests or training sessions for today. Shinji was really free to do what he wanted but what ?
After he finished eating, there was nothing to do but...
