"It took me considerable work to figure out how to seperate you from your powers, eh? Oh, I know. You want to build a perfect future in this Crystal Tokyo. I'm sorry but conquering the world and subjecting it to mind control makes you a villain. Some of my own plans might label me the same - but if I am a villain, well, I'm just more obvious about it." The sorcerer shrugged as if to say "what can I do?" "As for what to do with you, I came up with this idea. By controlling your powers and throwing some of my own power into the mix, I have determined that all of you save Pluto were reincarnated into this era into the same appearances you had in your previous life. I determined that I could instate more typical karmic law and throw Pluto into the mix due to some of her previously ignored paradoxes. Now that I also have control of the Time Gate, I will deal with you by altering your history, specifically altering the precursor events that led to the Silver Millenium and Moon Kingdom."
Again there were unheard shouted questions and beating against the walls of their prisons. It wouldn't do much good. Admittedly he didn't have a lot of power, but he was very good at using what he had. He was a computer hacker turned sorcerer after all. A spell was just a program written in reality.
"I was wondering how there could be a Silver Millenium and kingdom on the moon thousands of years ago. Something predating even the Minoan trade kingdom and the beginnings of the Greek civilization. How could that level of technology, even magical, vanish overnight when it would leave indications of the gradual buildup to your level? Why didn't the fossil record indicate something of these ancient humans?"
His audience had quieted, more than one of them curious about this as well.
"Humans evolved on this world as they did on others, whether through natural forces or divine guidance is a question I'll leave to the religious. Then roughly 13,250 years ago - during an Ice Age, these wanderers from Epsilon Eridani settled on the Moon - refugees from a period in galactic history known as the Sailor Wars. They made contact with the primitive humans on the Earth, the presence of which had drawn them here in the first place," said the Wizard. "There were many skirmishes between the native supernatural beings and these refugees. The ginzuishou was basically used as a final weapon to end many of these beings' lives. Years went by and the humans began trying to improve their lives when the refugees separated over a philosophical difference I haven't been able to fathom. Some became the Earth Kingdom and began interbreeding with the native humans. The other group chose to remain pure and kept to the moon."
Ray Casanov cleared his throat. "I'm really sorry about this. Purification doesn't appeal to me and frankly all of you seem to have your own share of problems."
"Then 1,131 years after the seperation came another event. A being named Metal'la erupted from a dimensional nexus on the sun's surface, fleeing some battle that had greatly weakened her. I'm reasonably sure she came from the Sailor Wars herself, but I haven't investigated her background too much at this point. She needed a human host to bond with and chose a girl of noble birth from the Earth Kingdom named Beryl who was jealous over her prince Endymion courting the daughter of the Queen of the Moon. I think you know how that all turned out." The Wizard paused. "Which leads me to my current plan to alter events so that this doesn't come about quite the same way. I've found a turning point I could influence that would alter everything that had occurred to this point. By using your Gates Of Time, I can protect myself from Paradoxic forces but leave all of you to be swept along in this altered timeline. Sorry if I've rambled but I wanted to get this off my chest before I did the deed."
Ray gestured towards a display showing a scene from the ancient past.
The Wizard tapped the screen. "This is the crux point. By altering it, everything that came afterwards is also shifted. You'll find that you can remember this timeline, but the longer you go the more real the remade timeline will be. The point I'm altering is:"
